  1. I have decided to try a different VBIOS with unusual results. The BIOS version was originally 80.04.AF.00.03 (Dell) and have now flashed 80.04.71.00.00 (Alienware) from VBIOS's available from TechPowerUp. The GPU core now max's out at 162 MHz yet the memory now seems correct at 1248 Mhz. I'm really confused with this. Hopefully someone can help me resolve this.
  2. I have also selected "prefer maximum performance" under settings in NVIDIA control panel but clock speeds still remain throttled.
  3. Thanks for reply. Yes I have cleaned out heatsink, fan and also applied MX4 thermal compound. It doesn't seem to be overheating.
  4. Hi everyone:) I tried to post yesterday but doesn't seem to have gone through.. I have an Alienware 17 R5 with GTX780M graphic card. I have recently noticed the performance has dropped. Have found with GPU-Z that I'm only getting maximum clock speeds of 405Mhz for GPU and 400Mhz for memory. I have never flashed the VBIOS before and never overclocked the card. I was wondering if anyone had similar issues and if flashing with the unlocked VBIOS would resolve this issue? Or could the graphic card just be faulty? Thanks in advance for any help with this:)
  5. I have an Alienware 17 R5 with GTX 780m. I have recently found performance has decreased. GPU-Z sensors are at 405Mhz for GPU and 400Mhz for memory at max, while running FurMark. I have never overclocked or flashed a different BIOS. Current BIOS version is 80.04.AF.00.03 (P2053-0001). Could this modified VBIOS resolve this issue or is the graphic card possibly faulty? Are there any other tests I could try? Thanks in advance for any help with this:)
