  1. Hi Klem, thanks for your reply. I just figured out that MSI afterburner works fine but EVGA does not, even after reinstallation. As long as there won't be any further problems I will leave it as it is and use MSI afterburner for now. If there are more problems arising I will use your Explanation. Thank you for your help!
  2. @Klem Hi Klem and hi everybody else, in July 2015 I got a modified BIOS from Klem which enabled overclocking. It worked perfectly till last week. Since I installed a 500GB mSata SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) overclocking isn't enabled anymore with tools like EVGA Precision X. I just flashed the BIOS from Klem again but unfortunately this did not help. Has anybody an idea what the problem might be? Kind regards and thanks in advance! Erik EDIT: Also I did a fresh install of win7 on the new SSD.
  3. I got it. The problem was the nvflash version. First I used to use a windows version of nvflash. The problem is that a helping tool (CWSDPMI.exe) was missing. As I found out I was looking for a DOS version and downloaded it but I got the same message again. So I downloaded many different DOS versions from various sites but no version solved the problem. Finally I found this thread: http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia-video-cards/3827-latest-nvflash-windows-dos.html The DOS version here worked like a charm! Thank you very much for your help Klem!!! - - - Updated - - - It depends on your system. If you have no cooling problems, the system is stable and the temps of your card are still ok while using tools like 3DMark to test your configuration then you can go higher. You can check for the temps with GPU-Z. When you reach a point where the system isn't stable anymore or your card gets to hot I would recommend lowering the last stable clocks a bit for safety and using this configuration.
  4. Now it said "Program cannot be run in DOS mode". Do you have another idea?
  5. Thank you very much!!!! Unfortunately I have another problem now. I used to make an bootable USB flash drive as it is described in the NVIDIA VBIOS flashing guide - http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia-video-cards/2166-%5Bguide%5D-nvidia-vbios-flashing.html Then I downloaded the latest version of nvflash and extracted the files to the usb flash drive and also copied the VBIOS rom file you modded to it. So there are 2 folders from the nvflash extraction, the folder "x64" and "x84" and the VBIOS rom on it. After this I rebooted the system and went to the boot manager and set the USB flash drive on the top of the boot order. After the USB flash drive was booted I typed in "dir" and pressed enter. This worked so far but as I typed in "nvflash -a" or "nvflash --list" it said "Bad command or file name". Also by trying to make an VBIOS backup with the command "nvflash -b filename.rom" it said "Bad command or file name". Do I have to disable the card in the Windows Device Manager again or is it another problem or mistake I made?
  6. Disabled the card and tried it again. It worked, thank you! GK106.rom (0.06 MegaByte) Here is the VBIOS file
  7. I did that but unfortunately the problem stays the same :-/ It still tells me "BIOS reading not supported on this device.". Is there any other program to save the VBIOS to a file or any idea how to get GPU-Z to save the VBIOS?
  8. Didn't work either. It gives me the same message: "BIOS reading not supported on this device." Is there any other program for saving the VBIOS that works well?
  9. I tried to save my VBIOS to a file with GPU-Z but it tells me "BIOS reading not supported on this device". Does anybody know this problem? Maybe the card is simply not supported by GPU-Z?! Do you know another program to save the VBIOS to a file? So all I can do for now is uploading this picture of the GPU-Z window.
  10. Hi Everybody, I need your help. I am looking for a modded VBIOS for my MSI GS70-2ODi581FD with a GTX 765m. I don't want to overclock my card permanently but I want to create overclocking profiles with programms like MSI Afterburner or EVGA. The Problem is, that my card has an +135MHz core overclocking limit, so I can't go higher than this by using tools like MSI Afterburner or EVGA. So I am looking for a VBIOS for my System that has OC unlocked, so that I am able to go higher than +135Mhz. Does anybody know where to find a VBIOS for my System with GTX 765m or is anybody able to modify my VBIOS? I would really appreciate this. If not, does anybody know where to find a Guide for modifying a VBIOS? Thank you very much in advance!
  11. Hey everybody, I need your help. I am looking for a modded VBIOS with OC unlock for my MSI GS70-2ODi581FD. I want to overclock my GTX765m with tools like MSI Afterburner or EVGA. Unfortunately the GPU has an +135MHz core overclocking limit. I don't want to constantly overclock my card but I want to be able to overclock it when I need more power. In other words I want to create OC profiles with the tools named before. Does anybody know where to find such a modded VBIOS for my MSI GS70-20D or is anybody able to modify my VBIOS? Thank you in advance!
