The mPCIe slot should be right next to your HDD where your wireless card is seated. Look carefully one more time and you should see two white cables that are connecting to the wireless card. -

Did you try reflashing the BIOS? My GTX 675M on my M17x R4 went missing from the BIOS like your card did and reflashing the BIOS made it pop up again. -
Alienwares can disable their iGPU from Windows with a keyboard shortcut, but for some weird reason no option to do that in the BIOS;But on the other hand they have OCing options in the BIOS.
