As the old saying goes. Bigger is Better and thats why I bought my M18x D: 1st one broke down so ended up with the R2 instead and I cant be bothered to go back to a smaller laptop. As for their recent changes...... well they suck. Kinda stupid to drop the 18 series for a crappy booster as well expecially since the whole point of a gaming top is to carry it around and have everything on hand not leave half the hardware at home! Got my own laptop upgraded with 980m's now and they work so thats me sorted for a few years. Mebbe theyll come back to their senses in a few years. Otherwise Itll be a clevo or msi upgrade in the event I got to replace this thing. :/

All imma say is THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! >_< Spent all morning taking apart my own m18x to install a pair of GTX 980M's and this has got the full system up and running again. Ran the Heavensward FFXIV benchmark on it too. Old score i got was 5235 with the old 675m's. New score I got was 12903 O.O Not seeing any throttling on it either tho Ive yet to test a game on it. Want to install the new 350.12 drivers but cant find a full package that'll install. Geforce experience shows up to date on the driver :S Trying to download the modified inf's but cant atm :C

Ya agree with you there. Seems to be only nvidia these days I've heard nothing out of AMD myself about them releasing anything. Would be nice to have a 3rd option... :S

Dunno wether to go for these or stick with my old pair of GTX690's for my desktop :S. Was gonna buy but the E1100 odd price tag hurts my wallet V_V
