Confirmed this solution still works on the Y510p laptop. Allowed me to use the new Intel 7260 AC wireless card. Thank you! I had some problems with downgrading to 2.07 BIOS. I had to go into the BIOS settings and enable Back Flash I also had trouble with booting from USB. Also had to change BIOS settings to legacy boot mode before it would work. Maybe the things stated above are obvious but to a novice like myself it was something I didn't know which might be helpful to add.
