  1. Not really. I want something like a XPS13 but with a GTX965M or something
  2. NVIDIA GTX 960M and 950M hit ultra-sleek gaming notebooks - SlashGear So we are getting some low/med level nivida gpus. I'm hoping to get myself a nice replacement for my macbook air 13 soon then If I can get a ultrabook with a GTX960M I'm in I think we will see some really powerful ultrabooks which could be classed as desktop replacements this year!
  3. You're a star mate. That looks looks prefect. I wanted something like that for my macbook pro 15 I use for work! Have you tired it personally?
  4. So I finally got my sound blaster x fi mb3 working on my clevo p651se. It only took me about 2 weeks to getting it working correctly. My god it was a ache in the ball sack to get working. Anyway. I find XFImb3 to be AMAZING. Adds a whole new level of sound to my laptop and I really love it. I couldn't be without it now. My question is Do any of you know of any software like XFI3 which works on ALL audio devices? XFi3 will only work with the realtek HD sound card so as soon as you plug a usb audio device in it then disables itself. I'm looking for something which will work on ANY audio driver? I've tried a few modded drivers to see if I could get it working on non realtek hardware but there doesn't seem to be a working work around. Any tips pleases?? Thanks in advance
  5. I've been using a 90w universal slim charger which weighs 1/4 the weight of the 180w. Seems to work perfectly fine. I haven't gamed using it as I didn't want to risk damaging anything. I highly recommend getting one for when you're on the road like I am for work.
  6. This doesn't work. I've tried it on all 3 of my laptops. 765m 870m and 970m. worked on non of them
  7. I think everyone needs to chill a bit and step back. I think Nvidia are going to allow the vendors choose if we are allowed to overclock or not. I think this could be a smart move as due to some of the smaller lighter form factors overclocking of any kind is a bad idea due to poor cooling. But guys lets wait and see how many systems are effected and where these systems come from? I'm sure these questions will be answered very shortly.
  8. I think a lot of it was due to a the fact Nvidia have had a lot of bad press lately. They didn't need this on top of the .5gb problem with the gtx970 crap that is happening at the moment. There is now a class action law suit happening. things are not the best for nvidia but they will be fine.
  9. Hi all. Just wanted to check something. I just wondered if anyone has ran their p650se on a thin light weight 90w charger? The 180w which comes with it is just far to big for me to carry around me with as it weights the same as the laptop. I'm thinking about getting a small light weight charger for when I'm on the road. I'm under the understanding that as long as I keep the draw below 90w there shouldn't be a problem. The laptop will just charge slowly and anything taxing like playing games ect off it is a no go, but I should be able to do office work / internet on a 90w charger fine. As anyone done anything like this before on any laptop? I know it's not clear cut as I got a 60w charger by mistake with my macbook pro 15 when it needed a 85w. It wasn't till I took it back to apple thinking there was a problem with the changing that I found out it needed a bigger charger lol I ran my mac for 6 months off a weak charger.
  10. As you know, we are constantly tuning and optimizing the performance of your GeForce PC. We obsess over every possible optimization so that you can enjoy a perfectly stable machine that balances game, thermal, power, and acoustic performance. Still, many of you enjoy pushing the system even further with overclocking. Our recent driver update disabled overclocking on some GTX notebooks. We heard from many of you that you would like this feature enabled again. So, we will again be enabling overclocking in our upcoming driver release next month for those affected notebooks. If you are eager to regain this capability right away, you can also revert back to 344.75. 11. I've tried everything to get it to work but it just simply won't enable. the option is there but it just greyed out.
  12. Yeah I am referring to shadow play desktop capture. Works amazing on my desktop and I would love it on my laptop. There is no reason what so ever for it not to be on laptops. Nvidia do love gimping their mobile chips for no real reason. All said and done I still love Nvidia products. I just won't be upgrading to any new drivers till they either enable overclocking or someone mods the drivers. We could be running on old drivers for a very long time!
  13. The GTX965M supports DSR though. GeForce GTX 965M | GeForce check it out for yourself. So it cannot be anything to do with the fact it's a mobile chip.
  14. Oh by the way I have just checked and the gtx965m supports DSR so........... It has nothing to do with the GPU being a mobile chip!!
  15. I'm going to unlock the bios today <<< This is a great video showing how great the GTX970M overclocks with your vbios
  16. Hey all. Does anyone know where I can find a modded vbios for the 6gb GTX870M which will work with the MSI gt70? Thanks
  17. It doesn't put any extra "strain" on the card at all. The GPU will just run at 90 to100% loud which most games make the gpu do anyway. Playing dying light the other day for 2 hours and my GPU spent most of it's time at 100% so that cannot be the reason for us not to have DSR!
  18. I really hope someone works on a fully modded driver which 1. allows us to overclock again 2. allow us to use DSR and 3. allow us to use shadow play to record desktop capturing! I can do all of this things on my GTX780ti in my desktop but deemed not needed on a my laptop. Strange as the gaming laptop market has had massive growth in the last 3 years and I believe will make the desktop redundant in the next 5/10 years! Surely it is up to us what we want to do with OUR own systems? I think Nvidia are worried because you can overclock the gtx970m to almost match a stock 980m. Making there no need to spend the extra £450 on getting a 980 over 970. I could be wrong.
  19. Hi all This is my first post. I've always been a laptop gaming and I normally buy a new gaming laptop every 2/3 years but I have always stuck to the well known brands Dell XPS, MSI, Asus ect. My last gaming laptop was a Asus G750 with a GTX765M which was a quite a weak card even with overclocking so I decided to way a while and get myself a the best laptop I could find for £2000 as I saved up for a while. So I ended up with a clevo p651se :-D I have kitted it out with 32gb of ram 2x 256gb Samsung 840pro SSDs and a M550 480gb M.2 SSD. i7 4720 2.6ghz (locked it at 3.5ghz) with a GTX970M 3gb. I have installed a modded vbios and got my core up to 1560mhz and ram upto 6000mhz by adding 250ma to my core. Load temps are at 72c on the CPU and 75/80 on the cpu after an hour of gaming. I do use a really good cooling board. I'm so thankful to this forum for helping me choose this laptop!!! I am honestly blown away by how powerful the thing is and it is sooooooo thin. Much thinner than my GT70!!! So what do you guys think of my overclock? Is it an alright overclock for this system? Look forward to reading your replies
