Just sent in my modded y510p to lenovo for warranty repair. I removed my upgraded card, and password locked the BIOS. Hope they don't notice!

OK, well they will probably be replacing the mobo, so I will swap out the WiFi card. Good thing I saved it! Thanks for the advice.

BTW, I made a typo on the title of this post. I meant to say modded. Damn autocorrect. So I have a y510p that I flashed svl7's modded bios onto and replaced the wireless card to a 7260. It has had a physical defect since I bought it, but I haven't been able to get it serviced. I'm going to be going out of town for a few days, so now would be a good time to get it serviced under warranty. My question is: will lenovo notice my nodded bios and WiFi chip? I put a password on the bios so they can't access it or see the version, but can they see it from the OS? Has anyone else had their modded laptop serviced?

I ordered my y510p after the y50 was "released". I didn't see the point in a slight performance increase, for more than $200 more.

Here goes! I'm downgrading to v2.07 from the stock v3.05, to install a 7260.
