  1. My y510p has 2x4GB Samsung. I can also recommend G.Skill! The low voltage ist important. If the voltage ist to high, it's possibly the laptop won't start and you have to increase voltage in Bios. I had this problem with my PC. In Bios was set 1,5V and my G.Skill had 2.0V.
  2. I have the y510p with i7- 4700mq, 8GB Ram, 2x GT755m, 1008GB HDD&SSD and i have no Intel wlan card. Mine is: Atheros AR9485WB- EG- Anyone else who has this card?
  3. I'm an engineering student too and i'm working with Catia V5 and Simdesigner. I think the Power of the Asus is enough. Catia worked also on my Acer 5750G with i5 and GT520m very well. I took the y510p, because of gaming, portability and the fullhd screen. It's the better one and as an engineer you should take the better one With the to graphic cards you have a bette performance to work on two screens. My second screen is a 24" fullhd samsung screen. So i have same resolution on both screens, it's really comfortable
  4. GeForce GT 755M SLI 768 @ 980MHz128 Bit @ 5400MHzGeForce GT 750M SLI 768 @ 967MHz128 Bit @ 2000 - 5000MHzYes, only differnce in clocking. Take the GT 755 SLI, because there is a insignificant difference in price ;)
  5. I've played AC IV for 2 hours on highest settings. I didn't watch the temps, but it becomes quite warm^^. And my y510p ist new, so there no dust inside so far. I always take off the acumulator and put a litte package for that. So that the NB is two finger's breadth above the ground. But i would also recommend to buy a cooler Specs: i7 - 4700mq; gt755m sli
