  1. I have additional information to the "rattle sound" issue. I have removed the fan and put it back. It seems so, that after this, the "rattle sound" has vanished. It seems so, that the fan has distorted a little and after the scews are loose and tight again, it was now plain. So the Clevo is now very silent on low fan rpm and on medium and hight, you only hear the air and not the fan. kind regars, Dirk
  2. I have given the Dell service another call. It seems to be, that there are two revisions of the M4400 mainboard. And so there are also two revisions of the heatsink/heatpipe. Poor Dell, that the have not informations for the old systems. Maybe this information helps someone out there Kind regards, Dirk
  3. I have a W230ST since a few days. The notebook has a ratteling sound, which comes from the fan. It seems to be a usual with the W230ST. kind regards, Dirks

  5. Hallo forum, I have a Dell Precision M4400. The notebook has a t9550 cpu and the fx1700. Since the heatpipe was changed by a dell technican, the notebook overheats. Dell has changed the heatpipe several times. I think, the heatpipe does not sit plan on the gpu. Does someone know, if Dell changed something on the heatpipe production? Kind regards, Dirk
