  1. Alright, I finally managed to install Mountain Lion and Win 8 EFI dual boot, have rEFIt. The startup.nsh doesn't seem to work. Though, I have not installed the drivers for the dGPU (HD6750m) and have the dGPU disabled in Device Manager, and I am running the iGPU without the igdkm64.sys file, otherwise I get a black screen during boot. eGPU drivers are installed. At the moment it gives error 43 on the eGPU (GTX660) (and error 39 on the iGPU (HD3000)). Rebooting into Windows without the startup.nsh, gives error 12 sometimes instead of 43.
  2. Yes I have tried it, the USB works on a normal Windows laptop. Just won't boot on my MacBook. I have tried, and still am trying to install Win 8 EFI. At the end of the install process, it errors with "Windows couldn't update the boot configuration". The furthest I got in installing Win 8 EFI was by following this link, ending in a black screen. Also, am I to apply the startup.nsh, prior or after installing Win 8 EFI?
  3. Is it not possible to run an eGPU without Optimus on a MacBook Pro 15" (one with a dGPU)? Also I do not understand how to boot the Setup 1.x from USB on a MacBook, just doesn't seem to show up when I press Alt/Option, when I used rEFIt/rEFInd, it does see it, but I just continues to Windows.
  4. How do you manage to boot the Setup 1.x USB on a mac? It just won't show up on mine.
  5. So here's my setup: - MacBook Pro 15" Early 2011 (i7 + 8GB) - PE4H (should've gotten the PE4L, but that's ok) - MSI GTX660 - Sonnet Echo Pro I've taken up the courage to embark on this little project, and see what could come out of it. As I already found out, it seems impossible to run Optimus on a MacBook that has a dGPU (with the exception of Win 8 EFI, correct me if I'm wrong). However I've managed to get my GTX660 detected in Bootcamp Win 7, and installed its drivers. The next problem I had was the error 12. I've tried running Setup 1.x, but with half-succes. I tried the several pci.bat config, but to no avail. Furthest I got, was having it run startup.bat, and eventually asking for a keyboard input, but not responding to any. As the Optimus feature doesn't seem to be able to get to work on my MacBook, I only want to get the eGPU to run an external display. Thanks in advance for the inputs. Correct me on anything I'm wrong about, I'm also here just to learn.
