Hello,

I've replaced processor in my Z510 from I3-4000M to I7-4702MQ and Turbo Boost is not working. I see that Mannyshu got it working on your unlocked bios.

Here is my results.rar:

Many thanks!

Hi!

Download and run benchmark the RealTemp - XS Bench, and check what the multiplier that an CPU is capable.

Also, you can try using ThrottleStop utility.  I think that this utility can help your Intel CPU running at its full Intel rated speed, including Turbo Boost.

CPU is stuck at 2.2 GHz when running RealTemp XS Bench. Windows power plan is set to high performance and the power plug is connected. I also tried ThrottleStop but changing checkbox "Disable Turbo", "SpeedStep" and Turning On does not make difference. Looks like the Turbo Boost is disabled in bios.

Hi Klem,

I would like to ask to You to unlock my Bios on Lenovo Z510 and I wanted to create a backup file following Your instruction, but unfortunately, the Backup Tools doesn't seem to do anything... The result file wasn't created and cmd says that: "The system can not find the correct path".

Please help.

      Hello !
I tried a tutorial on the forum to remove the supervisor password on a X260 thinkpad but the winbond 25Q128FVPQ chip is not recognized with the programmer CH341A and ASprogramer (does not detect automatically and not manually). Plugged into the motherboard with a soic8.

Can you help me with detection?
Can I find the password with the software or do I have to write it?

      Thank you so much !!!

In this thread you can post your requests for Lenovo ThinkPad T440p / T440s / T540p.
If someone wants upgrade Wi-Fi card and remove whitelist, or unlock hidden additional menus and settings in bios setup menu, then you can post your request in this thread.
      Important!
For creating bios backup and to flash bios mod, you must use any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip!

Just dump your Bios using any SPI programmer  (like CH341A programmer) and a SOIC8/SOP8 test clip, then post it in this thread or upload it to any fileserver and send me the link.

To install the unlocked bios, I prepared and booted a freedos usb. I start the installation by typing flash.bat but every time I get the following error: Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash Access. Please contact the target System BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers.
How can i solve this problem ?
