Bad Primary GPU, Upgrading to 980M Questions

Recommended Posts

Hello.  So my primary CPU is bad on my M18x R2.  I currently have 2 7970 radeons.  Figured I would remove both and throw in a 980m.  What do I need to look for?  I was sent here to get an unlocked BIOS but I can't seem to download it so I will keep trying to find one.  What driver software should I run and what else do I need to know prior to doing this swap?

Ok I have the unlocked BIOS installed.  Good to go there.  During the install it did say:

PDR region does not exist.

GBE region does not exist.

But it is installed and is working fine from what I can tell.  So to proceed on from here and swap my GPU's what do I need to do?

How do you switch back to the GPU's using the new BIOS?  I want to see if my old one will work again, just curious.  I only know how to do it through the laptop functions.
