davidexD
Hi guys, i was trying some new settings for lower the temps, but all i can do is lower the core voltage offset and it seems really delicate black screens is very often, what's your settings? How can i achieve the best compromise? Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
Dschijn
Every CPU is different! So you can't apply settings from another one to your own CPU, you need to test it. I can run stably with -60mV and Multipliers at 30. Firestrike runs with -80mV and some other apps with -100mV but -60mV is the most stable I achieve. Especially Battlefield 4 is (in my case) extremly sensitive about that settings.
davidexD
i still get 98° on package temperature with -40mv on offset voltage, anyone with a 2015 mbp retina?
Dschijn
You cant exspect miracles. Did you limit the turbo as well?
davidexD
No i don't, i'll try tonight. After 45 minutes of gaming i get a black screen is too hot, i think lowering the turbo will help Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
Dschijn
Really? Your MacBook gets too hot? That shouldn't happen! Maybe your voltage offset was too much and caused instability.
davidexD
Under the keyboard i sense a bit warm it isn't normal? Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
Dschijn
It is normal! Especially because the case is made from aluminum, which transfers heat quite good.

Dschijn
can you set the "Core Voltage Offset" to sth like -50mV, hit "apply" and run some tests?!
davidexD
Yesterday i tried-100 black screen -50 black screen -45 black screen -40 black screen sometimes if i got lucky it didn't crush at -
Dschijn
Continue trying. Even a little offset will help a bit. Maybe your CPU is very sensitive and needs a high voltage. Maybe try -25mV...
