chase11111
Good day Thanks a lot for the info. I signed up a profile just so I could ask you a couple questions. I am new to the forum so sorry to the admins should I be doing something incorrectly. I have a Clevo w370st which is very similar to your setup, Also running prema mod bios and I have purchased a EXP GDC Beast. I am currently saving for a new graphics card. Preferably something like this http://www.comx.co.za/GV-N970IXOC-4GD-GIGABYTE-nVidia-GeForce-GTX-970-4096MB-Buy-p-110799.php. I want a mini ITX version to make a small case to store the power supply and GPU as well as maybe a charging station. Question 1: I tested my Beast with an old 300w power supply and a gtx 220gt gpu that I had from an old desktop and got shocking results. Like 5fps on old nvidia benchmark software. What kind of issues did you run into when setting everything up? I did not disable my gtx 765m. Please post a screenshot of where in the prema mod bios to disable. Question 2: Is it possible to run all 3 GPUs simultaneously to have optimus through intel HD, Physics on dGPU and graphics processing on eGPU. I saw a thread about it somewhere but is it possible on your setup specifically? Question 3: How do you run overclocked ram (out the box or modded)?. I have 8gb 1600mhz but I am thinking of upgrading to 16Gb 2133Mhz ram. Is this possible cause according to the spec of the laptop it is capped at 1600Mhz. Question 4: Have you tested any 3d gaming on your setup. I have a 3d dlp projector which I purchased recently and was dissapointed to find out 3d gaming was not possible 3dtv play due to optimus. This is a Major flaw on Nvidias side as it should be plug and play. I assume having the projector or my 3d monitor connected directly to the gpu would mean that all the functions on the nvidia control panel become available including being able to activate 3d. Please post a screen shot of your nvidia control panel, Thanks I am so glad to come accross your post. I am sure we will be chatting quite alot in future months. This post has given me hope in what I am trying to achieve and i am not shooting in the dark here. Please could you post some screenshots with FPS in new games to see what I can expect. Thanks is advance for the help.

Thanks is advance for the help. 1. You have so little fps may be, because 220 gt old gpu and it has some problems with connecting. These photos of disabling dGPU: 2. In theory it is possible, but i have not tested it. Optimus must works in last drivers of nvidia in win10 x64. 3.Oveclocking ram i bios:chipset->graphics and memory configuration->memory configuration->dimm profile(set to custom profile)->custom profile control 4. I have tested some games like gta 5 - 45-60 fps in ultra settings and msaa x2, the witcher 3 average fps 40 in ultra settings, MGSV:PP - 50 -60 fps ultra. chase11111
Thanks for the help. the picture is becoming clearer and I am more eager than ever to purchase my new GPU. There is one thing I am unsure of, when you refer to overclocking ram, what is the base memory speed for your ram. Is it 1600Mhz ram overclocked to 2133Mhz or did you just buy 2133Mhz ram such as kingston hyper x. The word overclocking is throwing me off abit. If you did overclock the ram from 1600Mhz to 2133Mhz would it not be better just to buy 2133Mhz ram for heating purposes. Never really overclocked before and getting a bit confused I am sorry. As for the rest of the info shot man your a star. I will definately post some benchmarks once my system is up and running and do some comparisons. The base speed is 1600, i overclocked it to 2133, the ram with base speed 2133 is expensive. And i think that between 1600 and 2133 little differnce in performance.
