WS85 Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Hi, I'm currently using a Medion Erazer x6823 which is basically a MSI MS-16F33 Whitebook. Recently I made the upgrade of the cpu to 3920XM, which has 10W more than the standard. Temperature have raised noticeably. I downloaded the flash file EC-FW pack from the GT60 0nc with the intention of backup - dump my EC-FW In DOS: After entering the command, the fan turned to 100% and buttons stopped responding, off button too - I turned off the AC and pulled the battery off. After turning on everything was ok I used the wrong command or switch? How to get this EC to edit ? debianik Posted July 4, 2015 Share Posted July 4, 2015 for fan modyfying you can use Fan Control Tools by Pherein v1.0.4 or other tools that can modyfying EC table (r&w can do this )In f3 you cannot change TDC - and you limitied to 66TDP even with XM - you can play with TDP, multiplers but you need TDC options Are you sure that you cannot edit bios with AMIBCP4.53 and flash it ? to change (raise) tdp to more, raise multiplers to 42x for all options- of course for XM you need TOP paste like liquid because no other can handle heat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WS85 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Share Posted July 5, 2015 Even with the top-tier paste like liquid the best option is heatsink with thermal bridge on the cpu/gpu, another problem arises with power limit in EC, And to this medion model there is no other EC version. There is a beta EC but only for GT60 0NX (16F3) & GT70 0NX (1762) Laptops (0NE, 0ND, 0NC) barebone OEM is not supported. i got my original EC file backup, what I meant in first place. but now I am looking for a new EC.
