ryanapfel
I installed a new 780m in my pc and everything works fine except when i play any game that has a heavy load on the gpu (assassins creed unity, Dying light, etc.) with the graphics settings set to ultra, everything runs perfect and smooth for exactly 10 seconds at a time, then drops FPS horribly for exactly 35 seconds, then is smooth for exactly 10 seconds, then laggs again for exactly 35 seconds. even if i drop the graphics settings way down, it will cycle through like that regardless of movement or anything on the screen. i can stand alone in a small room not moving and it will do the same thing on all games. i have attached a picture of the GPU-Z pic i took while it went though its cycles. you can see in the previous bar graphs what it was doing. Pretty easy to see that the core clock and memory clock are spiking for the exact amount of times that i lagg and are smooth. but why is it doing that? Any ideas or help would be great. thanks Also, the max temp it ever got to was 79 even after playing with the crappy fps for about an hour, and i have the most recent 780m driver installed, although i tried a few different older drivers with the same results
runix18
Install custom vbios to get rid of the trothling. Also make sure you have a 240w charger.
