splinter888
Hey hows it going guys. I came home today to hear my alienware just at full blast and screaming. Both 680M's are idling at 30 degrees. I also updated the bios from V9 to V11 and that did not seem to help at all. The laptop starts up fine but after about 2 or 3 minutes the fans just ramp up and stay on full. Thanks for your help!
splinter888
Opened up the back and cleaned out some of the fans and it worked for a bit. I used the computer for about 6 or 7 hours went to sleep and woke up again to find them stuck on.

I suggest you to check restore points and to restore the system 1 day before the issue started. I had the same issue after installing a driver for Samsung galaxy s5 on my alienware m18x r2
