mptjimmy
I just recieved my m17 R5 ( OR r1). It has the 120hz 3D screen, I updated all the software but still have a persistant problem i cannot find a answer for. Ive set the lip to do nothing on close for both battery and powered, I close the LID, open it and laptops on, but screen is off. Then have to manually power down and restart, im running win 7 , current Nvidia 337.23 drivers, thanks
mptjimmy
Found the Solution, 337.5 BETA drivers solved the problem of the blank screen after closing lid.
vsseracer
Odd. Never would have suspected. Sounds more like a power or setup than a driver.Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

mptjimmy
vsseracer - my m7 was a brand new unit out of the box, did all windows updates, bios updates, and driver updates and it still had the problem. did a fresh windows install still happened, then randomly tried the beta drives and fixed.Siplast did you already upgrade your m17xr4 to the 3d 120hz screen? what problems are you having? Siplast
I have not upgraded yet as I wanted to have better info first. AW rep gave a long list today as to why I should not try this . Have you tried this and been successful?
