Luigid Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 Hi all, I would like to make a upgrade to a 1440x900 screen from 1920x1200rgb truelife (J2CY8), now what I was wondering since the LED display lights and not sure you need to remove the drive but I need another cable to connect the screen to the motherboard or why I okay? niveq Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 If you order a complete LCD assembly it will almost certainly be already attached to it.Otherwise you will need an HP693 ribbon cable.always disconnect the power supply and battery. niveq Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 That is correct, the screen is LED backlit.and thus not require a inverter.(and the cabling of course)if I remember correctly, there should now only be 1 connector on the motherboard side.
