could you post the current setup? try looking in device manager and see if there are 2 graphic cards showing. it might just be a problem which happened during the repaste.

That is correct, the screen is LED backlit. and thus not require a inverter.(and the cabling of course) if I remember correctly, there should now only be 1 connector on the motherboard side.

If you order a complete LCD assembly it will almost certainly be already attached to it. Otherwise you will need an HP693 ribbon cable. always disconnect the power supply and battery. You can look for disassembly guides online(try YouTube)
