Luke
I'm an ECE student and I have some experience with embedded programming, so far only AVR/MSP430/ARM platforms. I found this forum looking for a Y500 bios mod and I'll be honest I'm purely posting here because of the five post requirement, to which my first reaction was to load up a disassembler and have a look at the unmodded v2.02 bios. Turns out I probably won't make my own mod in one evening. My programming experience is mostly C with a little C++ and the occasional glance at assembly output. What would be a good way to learn more about bios modding? Learning x86 asm has been on my to-do list for a while, I'm guessing that would probably be a good start.
