topkarter Posted December 6, 2013 Share Posted December 6, 2013 All I bought a 3rd hand laptop with a locked bios, I'm also having difficulty with the graphics(other post) but We need access to it , does anyone know how to get around it without replacing the motherboard?Any tricks?please help? Guest Posted December 6, 2013 Share Posted December 6, 2013 A solution was posted in the other thread where you were seeking assistance. This is not being caused by a locked BIOS. The problem is that your hardware ID is missing from the driver INF file, which prevents the driver from being installed. topkarter Posted December 6, 2013 Author Share Posted December 6, 2013 Mr Fox, thanks for the card help, my dell service tech is looking at it, but my bios on boot up is password protected, so we cant turn on or off functionality of devices etc. This is a separate issue, any tricks?
