780m temperature issues-max temperature 60 degrees Celsius?

My alienware m17r4 is using currently using modded drivers 331.65, bios 12 for the use of a 780m. When gaming the card prevents itself from getting any hotter than 60 degrees, when it hits 60 it underclocks/throttles until its back under 60. It drastically effects performance and drops some games 40+fps! Can i change the max temperature setting? 60 seems very low...
