rafaelltp
I disassembled my alienware to re-paste the cpu and gpu and after I assemble it I saw a plug near the battery plug that have nothing connected to it. It looks like a fan plug. Anyone knows what is this plug used for ?
Dgvr4
Yeap it is a fan connector, I asked the same question some time ago and one of the Alienware technicians toll me that. But no one knows if it is functional, Im tempted to try if it works but Im a little scared to mess something. Im intrigued with the idea that at first the m14x was designed to have 2 fans but latter they backup. If it is functional will the fan speed be the same as the normal fan? rafaelltp
I already get my answer on other forum, the user "DGvr4" from notebookreview tested the connector with a m18x fan and he said that the fan spins but always on same speed.
