Noob question: Alienware m17 R2 - SSD/RAM upgrade

Got myself an Alienware X17 R2. In the manual it says you can’t upgrade anything higher than 2TB SSD or 16 RAM. I have got a 2TB SSD, but thought to upgrade with another 4TB Samsung. Also thinking to put in another 16 or 32 Ram module.  Would that be possible?
