ThorArise
Hi Guys, I'm new here, so please take it easy. I know basics about hardware, bios and modifying bios, but still need support. Let me introduce my case: I bought a notebook model GT683DX with a burnt video card (GTX 570m). From there I looked for options to change the video card, and saw compatibility with the GTX770m. So I decided to buy it. After it arrived, I did the installation and then the problem started... The BIOS froze, and did not pass. After some modifications, I just changed the video card's BIOS via EPROM by the original BIOS. Apparently the video card BIOS was broken. After that, I followed up with the installation of Windows 10. And new obstacles appeared. Apparently the system was not indicating the existence of the video card. Could not install Nvidia drivers I started reading some forums, and some talked about unlocking my notebook's BIOS. That's when I got to this topic, more specifically this comment: MSI G-Series Unlocked BIOS After flashing the unlocked BIOS, I thought my problems would be solved, as apparently it would unlock the chipset to recognize the installed card. However, nothing done. It still cannot recognize the video card. Note: I was able to force the driver installation through the driver files in the device manager, but I feel that the installation is not good.
