Hello Everyone, I had recently purchased an exp gdc beast v8.0 and I tried using a gtx 1050 with it and I'm getting error 43. It's said that the 372.70 driver works and does not give error 43 but when I try to install that driver it gives me an error before installing saying that no compatible nvidia graphics hardware found or something like that so I'm unable to install the driver but I heard the driver helps. So far I've not been able to find any guides on how to mod my driver, all I know is that it has something to do with editing the INF file. Can anyone please guide me on how to mod the driver or even mail me a copy of their modded INF file on my email [email protected] It will be a great help. My laptop model is a gigabyte p15fv2. Thanks for reading

Ok, a little background. I have a lenovo L420 laptop and bought an EGPU adapter via Express Card. I used a Geforce GTX 1050 TI In order for this to work you need to first disconnect any egpu external device and perfrom DSDT override to your system. Very easy guide thanks to user 'angerthosenear' found here (JAVA MUST BE INSTALLED IN ORDER TO RUN .BAT FILE. Other wise nothing will open) Keep in mind step 5 on his tutorial was a bit off. The correct code should look like this: DWordMemory (ResourceProducer, PosDecode, MinFixed, MaxFixed, Cacheable, ReadWrite, 0x00000000, // Granularity 0x000A0000, // Range Minimum 0x000BFFFF, // Range Maximum 0x00000000, // Translation Offset 0x00020000, // Length ,, , AddressRangeMemory, TypeStatic) /*above this line is only for reference. only copy below*/ QWordMemory (ResourceProducer, PosDecode, MinFixed, MaxFixed, Cacheable, ReadWrite, 0x0000000000000000, // Granularity 0x0000000C20000000, // Range Minimum, set it to 48.5GB 0x0000000E0FFFFFFF, // Range Maximum, set it to 56.25GB 0x0000000000000000, // Translation Offset 0x00000001F0000000, // Length calculated by Range Max - Range Min. ,, , AddressRangeMemory, TypeStatic) Restart your computer and confirm your DSDT override worked by going to Device Manager -> Resources by Connection -> Memory and you should see a hierarchy for 'Large Memory' When I was at this point I was still getting error 43. I thought it was a driver issue, but ****** via email thought it was a timing issue with clocks so he suggested I 'Jumpered' the powersupply so it would constantly stay on as long as it was plugged in. So when I plugged my expresscard in the laptop, the GPU would already be powered on. I would first plug your EGPU in your system and see if you still get this error. If so, jump the power supply unit by grounding the greenwire with either of the black wires to the right or left of it. This can be done in many ways, be smart about it. Try to make it reversible. Don't be like me and cut it, splice it, and jam in behind the ground wire. It works, but, not very pretty. This should get yours working. Unless you have a 1050 TI, if so, read on. Download driver versions 372.70 and 375.63 and extract them 1:) - Open the INF for 375.63 Extract the drivers you want to modify using something like 7zip. (with 7zip installed, just rightclick and press "Extract to "/File name here"") Inside the extracted driver folder open Display.Driver. The "nv_dispi.inf" in that folder is what we need to modify. If you can't find nv_dispi.inf, look for "nvts.inf", "nv_dispwi.inf", or "nv4_dispi.inf" instead. 2:) - Your GPU string Search (CTRL+F) for your gpu '1050 TI' Copy these lines, should be 3 if I remember correctly 3:) - paste them in the appropriate place on the 372.70 INF file 4:) install 372.70 Drivers and restart 5:) Now, your error 43 should be gone but your GPU will run like dog sh*t. You need to install drivers 375.63 EXPRESS INSTALL ONLY. If done correctly you will not be prompted to restart. Congratulations, you're done. Took me 3 days to figure this out. If an idiot like me can do it, so can you. I will gladly answer any questions

Hi, I would like to share my eGPU experience with EXP GDC V8 ExpressCard on my W520, Quad core i7, 12GB RAM, Quadro 2000M 2GB dedicated VRAM, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. last month after weeks of fails and errors, (specially the famous Error 43), i finally got my EXP GDC running using mPCIE version with NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac (yes, for Mac!) I make it works by setting the PTD switch to 7s. But by the time Windows successfully detect my Q4000 i straught away hook up my external monitor (EIZO CG245W 24-inch) to my eGPU, then the system blinks, i assume it detect a display signal. but it wasnt. And my W520 suddenly shutdown. And i can not make it work again. Even after hundreds of time reinstall-uninstall NVIDIA Drivers with DDU it wont make it work again. So, at this point i switch the GPU to my Quadro 6000 6GB GDDR5, and repeat the last success process. Nothing happened. Our good friend Error 43 back again and stay there forever. In my desperate time, i finally ordered the ExpressCard signal Cable. While waiting it's enroute somewhere in China, I test the EXP GDC with my AJA Kona 3G 4K I/O Video Capture Card, and hey it's working! i can do Edit & Realtime Preview 4K RAW video files thru the card flawlessly, It utilized the card's hardware encoding, (4K RAW files from ARRI & RED Camera) as well as output 16-Channels 192KHz Audio signal from my DAW. (no additional 6-pin power required for this card) Then i test my both Quadro 4000 & Quadro 6000 GPU back to my HP Z800 workstation, guess what? They're both bricked! It received power, but system cannot boot up. Beeping. means GPU is faulty. The next day, my AJA Kona 3G card also bricked! Today the ExpressCard signal cable finally arrived along with my 6-pin + 6+2 pin, but again, when i use the ExpressCard setup it doesnt do anything. No power comes in to the EXP GDC. My 500W ATX PSU is running though, but the LED indicator on the EXP GDC not lit. i set the slot to Generation 1 power mode in BIOS. So, I've tried both mPCIe and ExpressCard on W520 with nothing but frustrations. Did i miss anything here? I appreciate any workaround on this. Since i've never found any eGPU setup with W520 anywhere in the net. specially using ExpressCard & a High end Quadro GPU. Here's my last config that i've managed to make Q4000 work: mPCIe method: BIOS: Whitelist latest BIOS 1.42 Power Management: Both for Processor and PCI set to Disabled Display Mode: Integrated Graphic OS Detection Mode for Optimus Graphic: Disabled PXE Boot and all Network Boot options including PCI LAN Boot order : Disabled Win 10: Device Manager: System Detect eGPU, Error 43 Uninstall NVIDIA Driver with DDU (safe mode) Reboot Check BIOS first, usually it will set back the Display to Optimus Mode, i Let it Boot in OPTIMUS MODE Make sure Graphic Card(s) is detected in Device Manager as a 'Basic Microsoft Display Adapter' Install Quadro driver for both Discreet Graphic & eGPU Reboot to BIOS Display Mode: Integrated Graphic OS Detection Mode for Optimus Graphic: Disabled Quadro 4000 for Mac successfully detected in Device Manager. Plug my external monitor to eGPU GPU Bricked ExpressCard Method: Same as mPCIe method ExpressCard Power mode: Generation 1 Nothing happened eGPU setup: EXP GDC Beast V8 500W ATX PSU DELL 220W Power Adapter (backup for small cards) PCIe 6pin+6pin+2 auxiliary power cable (backup spare) ExpressCard Signal Cable mPCIe Signal Cable [IMPORTANT NOTE]: You will know your graphic card is working fine when you power on your laptop, normally all Quadro cards fan spin at normal speed, then it will spin faster/accelerate for 3-4 sec at Windows logo, means the system & OS detects your card then it back to normal fan speed. During the setup, i often get my Quadro 4000 fan spin so freakin fast. Faster then the POST boot init, but then back to normal speed Bricked Quadro Graphic Card: Quadro 4000 Fan spin fast forever, while Quadro 6000 stays low speed. Thanks a lot!

Dear community, I've read a lot of entries but have failed to solve my problem so far. I continue to run into the error code 43, which I think is driver related? Anyway: my setup is in the pictures at the end and consists of a Dell M4700 with an i7 3740QM. I try to connect a GTX 580 with a PE4C v3.0 from bplus via express card. For power I use a 350W psu with 24pin connector and I am using Windows 7. I've so far played around with the delay switches, which has thought me to leave them at 1 and 1. Any other combination gives me error 12. Furthermore I've used DDU to remove all my drives countless times, and reinstall the once form nvidia. If there is anything more I should post, please let me know, I'd be super stocked to get this up and running. Please help. Why is this not working? Best Regards, Gabriel

Hi all- At risk of creating yet another error 43 thread, I have a few questions or issues that I haven't been able to resolve following all the various guides and tutorials. I have a Quadro K610M in a custom PCB connected to my Thinkpad X61 running Windows 10 x64. I know that the PCB has some issues, but I've accidentally gotten further than this before and now lost that progress. I've done so far: - DSDT override to achieve Large Memory works, this solved Error 12 (on the other hand, what drive is "v:" where I should put the DSDT.AML? Startup.bat can't ever find it...) - Setup 1.3 for PCI compaction, I set it to 56.25GB and then said compact both iGPU and eGPU into 32-bits. I've tried various other combinations without success. - Using driver 362.13, the installation went fine. For the life of me I can't figure out what to do differently, I've reinstalled the driver with DDU several times to the same effect. Anyone have particular suggestions? Thanks in advance! Rafael
