  1. I've been doing some extended long term testing in benchmarks & games with different overvolts & overclocks to work out a range of long term stable overvolt/overclock settings, and I thought you guys would be interested in the results because it might help you work out your own stable settings.

First thing I noticed is that passing through a 3DMark11 benchmark run sucessfully was not a measure of long term stability. In fact long term stability was usually gained by dialing back core clock by one notch (13Mhz) after achieving a successful 3DMark11 run. Second thing, there seems to be a direct linear relationship between volts & stable overclock frequency; if you take a look at the attached picture you will see that the graph is linear, so that could be useful for you to use to help dial in your own further overvolts/overclocks.

Hope anyone that reads this will find this useful or interesting!

EDIT: I was kind of flabbergasted at how linear & exact this relationship was!

    Great job man! Thank`s!

But this is only for your video card. The fact is that any overclock is a lottery. How lucky enough. Much depends on the ASIC cards, and some other factors. I seen some laptops with GTX670MX and 1,1V did not take more than 1070Mhz.

  2. no! you can have all by using official bios: I've oc'ed my graphics for testing to 750mhz gpu and Battlefield 3 is ok, no artefacts. Most of the unlocked menus are useless and the 0.0.2 gpu voltage increase doesn't work on all GTX 670M [my B revision doesn't get moded] so I get not even one benefit from using moded version...

Because temp threshold doesn't work in Bios [i would like the fans to kick in at 50degree and full load at 85degree], I will seek for the gpu +0.02 increase only

    You are wrong. Why not?

killerpc has a laptop with a GTX660M and in his case, with this bios mod he will get 1000Mhz on GPU. It will increase its performance in games. Definitely.

In addition, with this bios mod he will get unlock the Nvidia limit only +135Mhz on GPU and will be able to overclock her GPU to 1150-1200 without overvolting. This will make it even faster her laptop for games.

If you want overvolting for your GTX670M ("B" videobios) +0.02 V and 820Mhz+ on GPU, write me to PM.

  3. HI guys,

As a professional Pentester, I need to work with Linux, as many pentesting tools are made for this platform (Backtrack, Kali linux.....).

I own the original 750 Hdd/Windows 8, and i put a PLextor Extreme 128Gb on the other bay.

I tweaked the Bios 223 for better performance, but there is still NO WAY to choose booting from the Hdd or th Ssd, as the Uefi system disable every non Uefi systems.

If someone may help, I would give a (littl) contribution....

    Thanks,

    Clemson, Nice, FRANCE.

Try go to your BOOT Tab in BIOS menu and DISABLE Fast Boot, Enable Launch CSM, DIsable PXE Rom, then go to your SECURITY Tab and DISABLE Secure Boot. Save changes in BIOS and restart.

    or

    - Enter the BIOS setup menu by pressing and holding F2 key when powering on.

    - Switch to "Boot" and set “Launch CSM” to Enabled.

    - Switch to "Security" and set "Secure Boot Control" to Disabled.

    - Press F10 to save and exit.

  4. Hi Klem, I'm curious, are you working with svl7 on these new modded vBIOS files, or are you doing it independently? Do you mod them in the same way that svl7 does?

    :) Hi Robbo.

I make my mod bios and mod videobios independently from svl7. But i know that svl7 makes mod Bios files is very well.

I think that we both make them with the same way. But perhaps in different ways. :)
