  1. Thanks Cefamox for the reply. Well i did it by myself a month ago and im very happy with the results. The new thermal paste is amazing i wont need to downthrottle the cpu anymore, even at full speed the cpu temp stays at 88ºC max and 40-45ºC on idle the gpu dont go over 81ºC at 100% use. Anyways im going to buy a notepal u3. The only sad story is that i can`t overclock it because the volts are locked by the bios or something... I hope this can be usefull to other gt683r user
  2. Hi there,im new here. I have an gt683r with some overheating issues, but the problem is that it didnt get even 2 year old :S I noticed this because i played so many game with a fps rate of 50-60 or similar and after some time it drops to a poor 10-15 fps, searching on internet and cheking the laptop i founded that the cpu gets to hot on load (94ºC) and it auto throttle itself down to 800 mhz to reduce temperature. I could manage to cap the turbo feature of the i7 2630qm with the throttle stop so it cannot go up 2300mhz and mantain a temperature of 90º (i think its too hot :S) Even of that the fps drops on time to time so,searching more i discover that the gpu have the same problem,it temperature raises to 95º and it automatically drops itself to 388mhz Well, someone have to managed to downvolt the gpu??,i cant do it with afterburner, volt appear in gray I opened the laptop recently to clean the fan but by my surprise it wasnt dirty enought.... Im thinking that maybe it can be the thermal paste. I have on mind to buy Artic MX-4 paste for the cpu and gpu and the notepal U3 cooling base to solve this problems Someone have tried this recently? If i put an unlocked bios for my laptop,i will be able to manage volts? Thanks all,and sorry for my bad english.
