  1. what future if You have on Haswell only few laptops with ExpressCard under 15,6"? Lenovo L440 and maybe some Latitudes if You order with ExpressCard (not confirmed possibility).
  2. - higher PCI-E compliance than x1 2.0 with ExpressCard adapter. - detachable cable - Gen3 is useless for me until laptops will start work with it.
  3. heh there is no point of buying CPU on ebay for me on polish board we have much better prices but thanks for advice
  4. Ok, I will try but when I got new CPU, this 35W TDP is already sold Im looking for something around 3630QM (because its cheaper than 3632QM and difference in price I will spend on better GPU).
  5. Yes, You can distinguish them by CPU usage as You can see, QM is almost sleeping. BF4 doesn't use additional cores. Maybe more visible differences would be with higher setting and more players but even if, only minimum and average fps would be little bit higher, in my opinion this difference is not worth of buying QM instead of dual core.
  6. This FPS plot above is incorrrect! it's impossible to achieve such a difference because of CPU. I did comparison for 32 vs 64 players. Here You have correct plot for 32 players for both.
  7. http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/2109-diy-egpu-experiences-%5Bversion-2-0%5D-234.html#post76185 there You have compariosn in BF4 with i5-3230M vs i7-3632QM. but really interesting thing Ypu have here, for the first time I tried Gelid GC Extreme. As for 17minutes of almost 100% core load, temperatures are silly low even for i5
  8. comparison between i5-3230M and i7-3632QM. Operation blockade+FHD+medium+64x64. differences in fps are so huge (as for CPU swaping) that im not sure if earlier I played 64x64 or 32x32.
  9. There is a lot of information, lot of plots, configurations etc. We are going (with @jot23 )to collect it and post it, but there is a lot of work ahead of us.
  10. unfortunately It doesn't mean anything. on Polish board we found many games where PCI-E BUS limits many games! in very strong way! it is little bit curious if anybody didn't realized this (didn't make a games comparison) yet. We made it and limitation in games is really visible, games a completly different environment than 3dmarks. btw, in elitebook 820 G1 manuals we can find something like this: 12.5” HD8 Premium AG UWVA slim (1366 x 768), so it means there will be IPS option, probably something like in X220,X230,X240. another thing is optional backlit keyboard. It's interesting if screen panel and keyboard (rather poor chances) will fit to 2570p.
  11. it's strange. it should works fine, are You sure that CPU is not broken? when You swap CPU back does it work on i5? You don't have ExpressCard or Thunderbolt but You have mPCI-e so it is possible. what kind of laptop do You have? BTW everything is explained on the first page.
  12. Did You check if its supported in your laptop?
  13. here is BF4, Multi, FHD + medium. Operation: blockade, 64x64. This often shots of fps it's when I was shot. I reserved rights for this post and plot. Don't use it anywhere else without my permission.
  14. I'll do some test tomorrow on BF4 with 1080p on medium preset, external.

  16. @Tech Inferno Fan hehe Few minutes ago I was browsing internet looking for good competitor for GTX760 Im not sure if I am able to let myself of buying 7970 but what AMD is arround GTX760 efficiency? Another issue is DSDT and setup stuff necessary to run AMD, so I'm not keen on to play with them
  17. Here You have some plots with BF4 with varous resolutions, gameplay and settings. http://forum.techinferno.com/hp-business-class-notebooks/2537-12-5-hp-elitebook-2570p-owners-lounge-33.html#post75156
  18. I tried to set turbo mode by throttlestop but nothing changed. Here You comparision for 3 mission (FHD) red: without throttle, high settings green: with throttlestop, high settings blue: with throttlestop, low settings As You can see, even with low setting there are specific places where games is barely playable, it is caused by BusLoad choking. The reason is opt1.2 only, not higher. Here is FPS with Mutli on High setting with res. 1680x1050. Hwinfo after 3,5h of BF4 playtime. As we can see, there is 95% working on turbo mode but CPU was using only on 40-60%
  19. According to Throttlestop, TDP locking. What values should I set? Another interesting thing is that, during play BF4 single/multi on FHD and High preset, there is only 40-60% CPU usage. should be some around 100%, BF4 is really CPU dependant. There is no option of throttling cause max tempereature on core during one hour play was 79C. Other cores around 75C. 90W AC. High Performance. Here You have picture with FPS, Video Bus Load and Max CPU usage. As You can see, the whole, long FPS drop (middle of third mission) is related to video bus load choking. On polish board we found some other games where GPU bus is responsible for huge fps drops. like Crysis3 (when come out on grass).
  20. Did I understood it correctly if this gonna ensure opt2.2 with SB and higher CPU's? EXP GDC notebook external external PCI-e video card Mini PCI-e Kit - - - Updated - - - Pity that you're not able to test with QM CPU.
  21. i7-3520M + GTX580 stock i7-3632QM + GTX580 stock vs i7-2630QM + GTX660 stock I got 1k pts more than i7-2630QM but even this 1k wouldn't give so boost on GTX660 that it gave on GTX570/GTX580. i7-3632QM + GTX580 OC i7-3632QM + GTX580 OC 2 I' really surprised that Fortron 350W (12V*19,5A) is able to handle GTX580, even with small voltage OC.
  22. Yes, You were right but here NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3632QM,Hewlett-Packard 17DF you have i7+eGPU+90W on internal. 200pkt less than on external but still 300pkt more than on internal iGPU
  23. I need to correct myself. There is no PhysicsScore boost on 90W in comparison to 65W. The source of boost is ... eGPU. I don't know why. I thought Physics tests are independant to overal CPU+GPU performance but they're not. i7+iGPU on 65W vs i7+iGPU on 90W vs i7+eGPU on 90W
