Hey all, LTNS. Just wanted to throw in my .02. I emailed a seller that's advertising the 980m as compatible with all Optimus 17/18 AW's. The thing is, I believe they are a Eurocom reseller or related to Eurocom in some way. Ebay ID: upgradeyourlaptop "we have them working in all of models that support Optimum M17x R3 R4 R5 now working on solution for M18x and 18 non-Optimus models" Ebay link: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121468830850&alt=web&globalID=EBAY-US&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 Any ideas?

Also if anyone has a hookup on some Vertex 3 240gb let me know, I am interested in 2 possibly...Can't find them anywhere

Beats it in what way? It uses a desktop proc, so you really can't compare them in that respect. The M18x will have a 120hz panel which to me is SUPER important, even without 3D 120hz looks SO MUCH BETTER! More GPU options on the CLEVO but the 6970 and 460m are on the m18x and possibly the 485m.

After seeing the 510 bomb at EVERY benchmark except one, I would go with anything else (except Corsair) at this point. Also, never touching Corsair again with a 1 mile pole. Their SSD's are so full of fail it's not even funny. Newegg.com - Corsair Force CSSD-F120GB2-BRKT 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) that's their F120 series that supposedly fixed all the issues their Reactor series suffered, of which I bought both R60 and F120...Corsair can go to hell.

Apparently DELL manufactures the Clevo 485m...

I said by default the fans weren't working properly. I used HWINFO32 to force fans at a decent RPM
