  1. X-men first class was pretty good. Definitely better than x2 or x3 IMO. Then again, I did like Origins a lot, but most people hated that. The timeline between Origin and X-men first class is off a bit (inconsistencies).

Little fockers-funny movie. Not any real plot, but still funny

  2. Both the ipad and the transformer both have ips screens, and similar viewing angles. I guess the ipad must have a better gamut or something. If asus did proper advertising and really got this out there, I could see it being a true ipad competitor, now that the xoom tanked.

  3. I personally believe this will flop. Even though the price is reputed to be decent (299 for the 4hour acer one I think? And 399? for the samsung 8 hr one?), it still is more expensive than your standard netbook. Also, the lack of a real os is troubling as well. I might be backwards or wrong on those prices. Honestly, I would not be psyched to put all my data on the web, a cloud based solution is interesting and neat, but not practical. The internet is too finicky to depend on always

  4. Tablets are ok. Ipad though is just junk. It is my touch, blown up. Seriously, people will dish out HUNDREDS more for a big itouch... The asus eeepad transformer is good competition, same level processor, battery life, screen, etc. I would seriously consider it if I was going to be spending a lot of time on an airplane or something like that

  5. SOOOOO overpriced :(

Dell's corporate greed has shot themselves in the foot.

Sadly though, people will still buy the m18x at these prices. I won't, cant justify spending that much money on something like that, when I could just get a decent gaming laptop, and a kick-ass desktop for less than a semi-maxed m18x

  6. If only intel and sandforce would work together... That might be the end of ocz, corsair, crucial, kingston, and pretty much every other ssd. You would have to pay a premium, but you would get both RELIABILITY and PERFORMANCE. Rumors that they might work together on the next gen ssd I heard?

  7. Personally I love the design of the r3. Looks far better in my opinion than the r2/r1/18x. I like the aluminum a lot, but the plastic handle thing at the bottom looks a lil weird. I wish the r3 wasn't plastic, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for weight.

If you are deadset on having the best, get the m18x, just know ivy bridge will give it a swift kick in the ass, and you'll be wanting something new then.

Or, like you said, be adult and get m17x r3, and maybe suffer a lil cognitive dissonance that you don't have the best, but you made the more reasonable choice

  8. Geoffx and vlads24 (or vads24 can't remember) were being bickering little 5-year olds on the point of getting the 485m. I told them to shut it and GTFO, but they didn't and batboy shut us down. The new thread doesn't seem to have much going on, they contacted Nvidia, but of course got no reply. So far, the 485m works with the 120hz screen, but not with 3d, and fans have to be set manually with Hwin32 <--(I think that's what it is called?)
