  1. Haswell should be out in June/July 2013 if I remember correctly. Depends what do you plan to use the computer for. For games, it's probably a much better idea to go with stuff like Titan, but that also depends what resolution you're using, whether you have or want to have a multi-monitor setup etc.

2 months from now and new mobos, is rather to wait a bit I guess.

Yes! I also suggest considering doing it yourself... it's kind of fun too. :)

Well, its no fun when you fry something along the way ^^"

  2. Well, the X79 chipset is not compatible with Ivy Bridge. You'll need a mobo with a Z77 chipset in order to run a 3770k, or you get a X79 motherboard with a Sandy Bridge-E CPU, e.g. an i7 3930k.

As for the SSD... it's not a requirement, but it's so much faster it would be a shame to run a X79 board without an SSD.

Also don't buy your PC from a site... for 2400 bucks you can get an insanely powerful PC if you build it yourself, really.

I went to local stores and tried to build a pc, the price however is higher compared to online stores, I have no idea what is the best available motherboard from Asus, as for the gpu, I'm not sure evga is the best available brand. Thank you again.

  3. You will run into serious issues while trying to run a 3770k on a X79 board...

So much for the main issue here.

In addition to this a H60 is seriously under-powered for a K edition CPU, and what's more is that you really should get an SSD for at least the OS and the most important programs.

First, I would like to thank you for your efforts and reply. I never thought of it, anyways, Could you please suggest a better mobo, and a cooling equipment? and Why would I need a ssd drive for the os?

Yeah what ^^^ he said. The configuration isn't bad, just add a 3930K CPU to it and an H100i or preferably real water cooling loop.

There is no need to for a 3930K cpu to run video games ^^ and for water cooling, Im very limited with choices here, Im buying my pc from a site, and Im not sure whether I can include the link of it or not.

    Thank you for your reply.

  5. Perhaps try cleaning the vents if it's overheating but honestly we need more info.

you have to replace the old pate if it shuts down while playing/watching high def videos, it is probably fried by now, Id recommend getting either Artic silver 5 or IC diamond 7, make sure to place the paste probably. best wishes.

  6. If you get a picture on the second monitor then let me know what vbios is actually on that card.

I dont get a pic sadly, I have no idea why batch file doesnt work when I put 660m I can send the card for you if you in fact need it for whatever reason....

backlight of my screen is damaged ! what a lucky day for me....

I guess Im going to sell this laptop for parts unless a good progress happens....

  7. Did you flash the vbios which I provided for the G73? Also did you flash the card before or after installing it?

Yes, I asked the supplier to flash it and he did (vbios from G73JW guide), after that, I tried to flash it again (blind flash) and stills no screen, when I insert my usb flash and my old card; the blind flash process seems to be 100% correct, I have no idea why its not working.

Im really sorry sv17 for troubling you.

this is the command line in my bat file

    nvflash -b filename.rom

    nvflash --save filename2.rom

    nvflash -5 -6 -A BIOS.rom

I found something fishy, when I i put my original card, it nvflash makes a backup file (filename.rom); but it doesnt when I put the new card!.

Im sorry to say that the system doesnt post!. my laptop has built in speakers, I could hear bios intro sound, I kept waiting for few mins to hear windows start up tune, but I didnt!, after that, I hit alt+ctr + del and the system rebooted immediately; which means that the card is either not working or bios is fucking around.

  8. yes i have the bios backup and usb blind flash ready.

Hello, sv17 made a guide on how to make/build custom vroms, you can grab tools he loaded in the guide, and then edit the vbios in the first page and change rams value to 2gb, this is my theory and to be honest, I highly doubt this will work. Anyways thank you and I'm sorry if my posts/ideas don't help you.

  9. The G53JW should use the same connector, also with the G73 and 53 the problem isn't the connector itself, there are many more things when it comes to MXM, software interfaces, which are missing.

Hmm, do you mean software in nand/bios? I know that my question is very retarded, and honestly, I read many threads made by you, and I know how knowledgeable you are.

Regards and thank you very much for contributing.

  10. Hello, I found that clevo cards work on g73jw if flashed probably. I wonder if this is going to work on g53 model. They both have the same sink sesign, but different mobos. I couldn't find any trial or a success /fail story on the internet,Im aware that I need a g53jh model, and Im thinking of a possible way to flash a g53jh bios into a g53jw mobo. please help. Thank you all.
