Successfully installed a Sierra MC7455 card in 2570p WWAN. Used the WWANDOS utility and there was no whitelist error.

Is there an image on the external screen? What type of screen do you use - DreamColor or regular?

This is the only difference I could identify, I have got Dream Color display and He has standard one. From Forums I can understand both displays have different lvds/data cables which restrict card compatibility.

M3000M must work on the HP 8740w, especially if the screen is DreamColor. Ordinary screen uses LVDS, but DreamColor uses eDP connection.
