Do you by any chance have the original BIOS from your graphics card saved?

It so happened that I have a DELL graphics card (K5100m), but wants to use it in an HP 8770W laptop. The system doesn't recognise the card at all. I hope to flash the card with your bios and see if it helps.

Hi, I have M17X R4, previously I had AMD 7970M. I bought GTX 980M Clevo card and installed it in with VBIOS 84.04.22.00.10. I have problem that new GTX 980M is not visible in BIOS, I can't disable iGPU (disable Optimus) there is no such an option.

Is it possible to run GTX 980M with stock BIOS ? I have M17X R4 BIOS version A13 (stock, not unlocked).

Tried to install Windows 8 in LEGACY and UEFI mode, and there is only visible Intel HD Graphics 4000 nothing more.

In BIOS i see that DISCRETE CARD: [not detected]

Do you want to install DELL 7970M MXM in to Clevo platform ? If yes it's not possible it will be not working (tested on P170HM/P150HM).

Dell cards are not compatible with Clevo platform, even when you change VBIOS is not working correctly.

Yeah I'm also interested this new barebone from Clevo, still unfortunatelly no info about it (except benchmark of P750ZM with GTX 980M and GTX 970M)

Unknown information in BIOS is normal, don't panic.

Yes already my card is working in CLEVO P370SM and P570WM , I didn't checked in P17X0SM.

VBIOS change did a work, try: stock CLEVO K5100M VBIOS. What I heard that K5100M can make some problems to run it properly on P1X0SM series. My card has 8GB GDDR5 of memory. It runs very good without any modding drivers.

I received Quadro K5100M intented for HP notebook. VBIOS is : 80.04.AE.00.04.

Tested with CLEVO P570WM and is not working, notebook don't boot and black screen only (boot loop). Tried also in P170SM-A and same problem.

svl7 do you have any other VBIOS which could properly run this card in any CLEVO notebook ? Thank you in advance.

I don't know whether it will work in the Clevo, no idea. I was asking about the vbios version to make sure the Clevo version is compatible with your card.

on monday probably I will have it in my hands I will write here about VBIOS and is it working or not in CLEVO with stock hp vbios.

Hi svl7 I don't know actual VBIOS yet, this gpu card is on the way to me, but I would like to know before is it possible to run it in CLEVO barebones.

I already found DELL vbios and I'll try it too. Do you have any well working K5100M VBIOS for CLEVO machine ? Don't know it will works with HP K5100M card but there is a chance.

It can be similar problem with DELL MXM 7970M card won't work in CLEVO machines even with proper VBIOS installed.

WIth GTX 880M there is same problem, also it's stop on BIOS screen can not boot into OS. GTX 880M is practically same card as GTX 780M. We will se maybe GTX 980M will change this situation

VBIOS AMD Radeon HD 8970M - BR44465.003 for P15XSM/P17XSM

Hi, im on vacations and far away work and i can´t get my hands on a 8970M enduro_able machine ( like P150SM or P170SM).

Can someone with such a unit supply a stock vbios.

Just use ati_winflash_2.3.0, run a 3D app to activate the card, open ati_winflash and save the vbios.

Since im on vacations i have time on hands to supply moddified P370SM / P170SM / P150SM modified vbios... just sucks that at the moment im stuck with only a P370SM

Maybe finally we will see new BIOS for P170HM from you Prema, of course if fix yours P170HM3 Don't forget about old very good and well known HM series.

Is there any posibility to change custom splash logo using any tool ?

That is simply an invention "made by Sager", which we could never get out of peoples heads.

One guy had flashed a Clevo BIOS on his Sager and when he asked Sager for an update they gave him a BIOS which was not compatible with the EC version (it would not have been compatible even if his system would have had the Sager version of the same EC).

So he bricked his system, because of Sager's oversight, and Sager blamed him and started the "Sager's Cross-flash Myth".

In case someone is uncertain about the compatibility of a certain BIOS with an EC, then we can just remove the "/SHUTDOWN %1 %2 %3 %4" commands from the ".bat" file and flash the latest EC and, without to shut the system down in between, the latest BIOS right after that.

(On the HM series only the oldest EC is not compatible with the later BIOS revisions if I remember correctly)

On the EM/ER/ET series on the other hand we can not downgrade to very old versions even if we flash BIOS & EC at the same time.

(Just before moving to BIOS/EC 1.02.xx, so during the last few 1.00.xx versions, Clevo made some fundamental changes which cause a brick while trying to go back with regular updates)

Good to know, I always didn't understand why Sager denied flashing back from Clevo BIOS to Sager BIOS. Now I now becouse EC was incompatible. If we make 2in1 update BIOS & EC without restart between updates, we have solution to don't brick Clevo machine.
