Hi, I have M17X R4, previously I had AMD 7970M. I bought GTX 980M Clevo card and installed it in with VBIOS 84.04.22.00.10. I have problem that new GTX 980M is not visible in BIOS, I can't disable iGPU (disable Optimus) there is no such an option. Is it possible to run GTX 980M with stock BIOS ? I have M17X R4 BIOS version A13 (stock, not unlocked). Tried to install Windows 8 in LEGACY and UEFI mode, and there is only visible Intel HD Graphics 4000 nothing more. In BIOS i see that DISCRETE CARD: [not detected] Do you have any ideas, how to run this GTX 980M ? Thank you in advance for help.

On any CLEVO ?? So is it mean that you solved lack of compatibility with HM series ? Is 980M is combatible with old HM systems, dreams come true ?

Do you want to install DELL 7970M MXM in to Clevo platform ? If yes it's not possible it will be not working (tested on P170HM/P150HM). Dell cards are not compatible with Clevo platform, even when you change VBIOS is not working correctly.

Yeah I'm also interested this new barebone from Clevo, still unfortunatelly no info about it (except benchmark of P750ZM with GTX 980M and GTX 970M)

Hi, Unknown information in BIOS is normal, don't panic. Yes already my card is working in CLEVO P370SM and P570WM , I didn't checked in P17X0SM. VBIOS change did a work, try: stock CLEVO K5100M VBIOS. What I heard that K5100M can make some problems to run it properly on P1X0SM series. My card has 8GB GDDR5 of memory. It runs very good without any modding drivers. CLEVOK5100M.zip

I received Quadro K5100M intented for HP notebook. VBIOS is : 80.04.AE.00.04. Tested with CLEVO P570WM and is not working, notebook don't boot and black screen only (boot loop). Tried also in P170SM-A and same problem. svl7 do you have any other VBIOS which could properly run this card in any CLEVO notebook ? Thank you in advance.

on monday probably I will have it in my hands I will write here about VBIOS and is it working or not in CLEVO with stock hp vbios. EDIT: Seller sent me photo of card: Label says that VBIOS HP K5100M is: 80.04.AE.00.04

Hi svl7 I don't know actual VBIOS yet, this gpu card is on the way to me, but I would like to know before is it possible to run it in CLEVO barebones. I already found DELL vbios and I'll try it too. Do you have any well working K5100M VBIOS for CLEVO machine ? Don't know it will works with HP K5100M card but there is a chance. It can be similar problem with DELL MXM 7970M card won't work in CLEVO machines even with proper VBIOS installed.
