Needing help with INF-mods. I tried out some instructions which help out to modify inf-files, but i still have issues with backlight. PC: HP ELITEBOOK 8570W OS: Windows 10 64bit GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 965m ex gpu: Quadro K1000M From device manager gpu hw id info: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C&REV_A1 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&CC_0300 Nvidia driver: 391.35 whql Old info from INF: %NVIDIA_DEV.0FFC.176B.103C% = Section028, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0FFC&SUBSYS_176B103C NVIDIA_DEV.0FFC.176B.103C = "NVIDIA Quadro K1000M" What i did to INF i added lines: %NVIDIA_DEV.1427.176B.103C% = Section028, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C NVIDIA_DEV.1427.176B.103C = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M" INF-files which i edit: nvbli.inf nvhmi.inf I had Quadro K1000M still in place when i modified inf-files. After modified inf-files, i installed driver without any problem. I also type lines to cmd: bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON Shutdown PC and installed GTX 965m gpu. After starting Windows screen stays black, although i can see that Windows "is there" with flashlight… All help is welcome.

Greetings, If i have put this discussion to wrong area, please move it to right place. I read about it is possible to upgrade gpu to GTX 965m, so i decided to try out. I have small success but also some things where i need help. After gpu installation, windows will boot up without drivers and without screen backlight. I tried to mod INF-file but seems like i did not succeed there. Nvidia driver installation says "not compatible with this version of windows" and it will not continue installation. Nvidia geforce driver version: 431.60 Windows 10 64bit - V1903 From device manager, "Microsoft basic display adapter": PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C&REV_A1 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&CC_0300 INF-mods i did for "nvbli" and "nvhmi" as below: %NVIDIA_DEV.1427.176B.103C% = Section037, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1427&SUBSYS_176B103C NVIDIA_DEV.1427.176B.103C = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M" I do not clearly understand "section###" what it should be? Even i can not see from screen anything, i can access remotely to pc so i can make needed changes easily. All help is appreciated! Please let me know what need to be done. If INF-mods are wrong please help me out with them.
