Hey again guys and first I'd like to say sorry i havent been posting for a while. Ive been going through GSCE exams but finished them and left school now!!! so im back to OC'ing. If you remember back to my last results i posted they were something like P13200 something and a GPU score of almost 14k. GOOD NEWS!!! after some tweaking, I NOT ONLY BROKE MY PREVIOUS OVERALL SCORE, I ALSO BROKE 14K GPU SCORE WOO!!!

okay before anyone says anything... i understand and realise that this is in completley the wrong forum.... but does anyone have a copy of the M17x R2 command center drivers a03, a04 or a05, i need it and im having a real tough time finding it online thanks in advance

its ok ive found out why only one card would oc and it was an issue with the newest version of catalyst. ive fixed everything now and now both the cards OC and i can overvolt with trixx. one question tho the max clocks i can now reach are 669mhz core and 1081 mem when overvolted to 1.15v using stock cooling which is great but if i flash 1.15v in the vbios onto the card. would i be able to oc even higher than just changing it to 1.15 in trixx or would it not make any difference?? and thanks for the help btw

ok ty stamatis for the help but i established it was all i driver error so after ages i managed to get hold of a copy of the previous drivers that worked and now rivatuner is back and i can overclock both crossfire cards again!! but.... for some reason i cant overvolt them using trixx as i used to be able to so i might try and flash my vbios so that when i overclock them... it ups the voltage to 1.15v but if i do that and the laptop wont any longer recognise the card (i did it on my desktop old gaming pc and it stopped recognising the card...) what do i do to solve the problem and get it to recognise the card again if that happens???

Sapphire trixx won't read the clocks

Ok guys I'm getting really annoyed so I need to ask a question and I need some help. I updated to the latest graphics card drivers yesterday. Catalyst 12.something. And since I have THE OPTION TO CHANGE CLOCKS IN RIVATUNER DISSAPEARED and RIVATUNER was the only program I ever used tht allowed me to overclock the 2nd cf card too. Now the only ones I can get working only do the primary card.... HELP!!!!

well my heatsinks, fans, and exhaust vents are overdue a clean anyway and i have an air conditioning unit spare tht i dont use anymore so i might just take the keyboard of and plug an external one in, overclock a bit more and run vantge again,

is it possible to go over 1.15v AT ALL?

a few questions about that 1) is there anything you think i could do to push it any further 2) is it possible using any program to overvolt the card past 1.15v (and the stock voltage is 1.05) 3) is it possible to change the turbo boost cap on the cpu so for example when its running in turbo mode it goes to 3.2GHz instead of 3GHz and 4) also is there any way of auxillary cpu cooling tht u could recommend because thts the thing thats limiting me at the moment. Added after 3 minutes: could you post a link to the retention mod pls cos i have heard of it but i have no idea what it is or how to do it lol. like i say i think one of the main limitations im facing here is that well im running the A10 V1F modded bios tht unlocks cpu overclocking + i can use setfsb a bit more so i could probably overclock my cpu wayy more but the main limitation is it will overheat if i take it above around 1.92GHz so is there any auxillary cooling that you guys could recommend so i could take it a bit further and also. how do you set a signature so you can put your system specs at the bottom of your forum posts. (sorry im a bit of a noob to forums)

OK first of all I'd like to say hi as its my first time posting on here. im fairly new to overclocking in the sense that i have results but i have no idea how good it is or not when compared with other peoples. ok im running an M17x-R2 with an core i7 820qm processor and DUAL HD4870S IN CROSSFIRE. now ive devoted most of this weekend to squeeze every last ounce of power from my pc. I was trying to break P13K score on 3dMark Vantage and i wouldnt rest until i had done so. THE GOOD NEWS IS. I DID!!! i have know idea whether a score of P13222 is good for dual 4870s in crossfire but as far as im aware its pretty good so im fairly happy lol. i used SetFSB to overclock the 820QM processor to 1.90 GHz. and had both my 4870s overclocked to a core speed of 662 MHz and a memory speed of 1075 Mhz. for cooling i only used the fans on the laptop itself running at the highest rpm possible (forces using HWiNFO 64) so i wont try overclocking anymore cos my cards hit 91 degrees and the prcessor core 1 hit 92 aswell. but anyway the final result i got to with 3dMark Vantage was P13222 (for dual 4870s i believe that is very good)
