Hello,
I own a Lenovo Y510p laptop and because I have problems with the cooling of it, I decided to mod my bios after this tutorial:
Everything was fine, I managed to update my BIOS and land to this custom version. Because I have read on the internet that I should downclock the CPU from this bios, since it is overclocked by factory, I got in the settings and applied lower values. After I pressed F10 and saved the settings, surprise: My laptop won't display anything on the display. I tried to disassemble it to remove the CMOS battery located on the motherboard, but I abandoned this, because it is soldered. I read somewhere that getting the CPU out of its slot will reset the bios. I have done this too, but it had absolutely no effect. The laptop powers on, the keyboard backlight is working, but the screen is black, won't even turn on the backlight. I see, that the charging, power and caps lock indicator are all on. What could I do to save this little buddy?
Thanks in advance!
