  1. I had mine at 1298 core. I don't mess with vram because there's no way to tell how hot it's getting.

I run it stock now. Was just for benching. No need otherwise. I mean I can play Witcher 2 with a 3K downsample with 45-90 FPS depending on the scene, there's no need to overclock that I've found yet. Lol

Yeah. Don't need to overkill the mems. Core speed is the way to tweak the gpu but not that high though

  2. Since nvidia locked the maxwell for oc'ing thru software.. Is it possible if svl7 or Johnkiss or anybody from the moderator to add (on the first pate) to tweak the core and memory speed? say for 970m and 980m

    vbios tweaks for 970m :

    - 970m_oc1st (135mhz core, 300 mem)

    - 970m_oc2nd(150mhz core, 300 mem)

    - 970m_ocxxxxx

    - 970m_ocxxxxx

    vbios tweaks for 980m :

    - 980m_oc1st (xxxmhz core, 400 mem)

    - 980m_oc2nd(xxxmhz core, 500 mem)

    - 980m_ocxxxxx

    - 980m_ocxxxxx

  3. Did you disable driver signing?

    Optimus model?

    1462 = MSI to 1558 = Clevo

    110C = Machine ID

    Post HW IDs.

I did disable driver signing. My nb is in my signature :) how to see Optimus model?

    Here is my HW ID

    post-7316-14494999243328_thumb.png

This is my HW id using 344.80 drivers and is working flawlessly. other drivers i also did a successful installation without issues and with modified .inf. only this version is not working with my 970m

  4. This is bad. After succesfully installing the driver and rebooting to Windows 8.1. Black out. only mouse cursor shows up. Good thing I've got an unlock bios. I swtich from SG to Internal graphics and went to safe mode... Or is there a way to try this driver? Im using prema vbios

which the hardware id changed from from 110c to 1558

  5. The other vBIOS is not using stock voltage, clocks and Turbo.

My vBIOS uses stock voltage and stock clocks and has Turbo functional...it is identical to the stock vBIOS minus the removed throttle, unless you decide to oc/ov which is unlocked as per your choice.

No need for a power limit as it is disabled right out of the box. ;)

Here's my benchmark on firestrike with Prema mod vbios

  6. As I said it works for all MXM versions, so just not for BGA and Asus etc...

No need for another vBIOS...if the driver doesn't install then you just have to check that your inf mod matches the HWID as shown in device manager (also remember to disable driver signature enforcement).

Thanks I've got it. Although Ive noticed the following :

    Hardware ID :

    svl7

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D8&SUBSYS_110C1462&REV_A1

    Prema

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D8&SUBSYS_15581462&REV_A1

    Power Limit

    svl7 : enabled

    Prema : disabled

    Voltage

    svl7 : 965mV

    Prema : 993mV

Why is power limit disabled? Is the voltage increase to 993mV safe ?

  7. ENJOY!

Will you be releasing an updated vbios like with svl7 mod? I't wont successfully install on my NB. Will appreciate if you release a generic vbios with these features in it. Or can request if you can modify my bios? so the vbios can recognize my nbs bios normally (without modded .inf)? Thanks

  8. That's intersting... My nvidia verde driver didn't complain on my GT72 when I installed the prema mod.

    Whooping +275Mhz Core, +600Mhz Ram with +50mV.

It is because your nb is one of the latest model of msi that is haswell. The bios reads properly the vbios of your notebook so no issue. My GT60 got the ivy bridge and the bios doesn't officially supports 9xxm mxm gpu's. The nb need's a modified .inf in order for the drivers to install successfully. Prema vbios doesn't need modified . inf files. So that's the reason why

  9. probably with prodding from Intel and the whining of sissy-boys that want thin and light Ultracrapbooks. Clevo still has some models with CPUs made for real men and enthusiasts.

Now this made me laugh with those "sissy-boys". Now what about the new upcoming AW with soldered cpu and gpu? I think the Lead R&D team of Dell-AW is pure sissy then? LOL

Oh well time for me to save some $$$ for that xtreme ivy bridge then. hehe :)
