  1. @trigger

Can tell me what name of merchant in ebay you bought your 680m? much better to send me via message. Any brand of nvdia GTX680M is good to get? Like Alienware, CLevo, or Eurocom? And do you have ESD strap & mat while changing the card? Or just DYI to avoid static while replacing the card. Thanks

  2. I have an MSI GT60-onc with 670M gpu. My question is. Can i switch to other manufacturer bios like Clevo or other brands? just like with GTX 680M? Can switch to other manufacturer bioses? Just to find out which vbios is better than the other one...Hoping to get a quick reply.... Thanks

  3. Thanks Trigger

So all gtx680m cards can flash bios to any vendor cards except from dell bios right? I am planning to get one from eurocom early next year though.. But wait.... I got an msi gt60-onc. Will the GPU heatsink for gtx670M fit on a 680m card? And just get new thermal pads? thanks :joyous:

Can also tell me the link where u got the modded drivers? Thanks again

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this question. But can a GTX670M be updated with a different vendor vbios? Just like with the GTX680M? Just to find out which bios can overclock much better?

  4. I upgraded my gt60 0NC with gtx680m from eurocom

Would just like to ask again those gtx680m cards from eurocom is compatible with msi gt60-onc? Or is standard mxm board that can be fitted to sager, alienware laptops too? thnx

I'm really liking my GT60 so far. That 680M is a beast of a card too.

Oh!!! the upgrade itch cant resist!!!!..... lol

  5. Be very very carefull when you update your vbios even if you back up its original rom. Because GE models GPU are embedded on the motherboard. Once the gpu is brick then you must RMA your laptop if it's still covered within the warranty.

  6. Is it possible to use 1600/1866 MHz Memory (2x8Gb) in GT683DX with i5-2450M CPU?

same question but for MSI GT60. Can use 1866 for 4 slots of memory?

2nd question... When are you going to release the updated modded bios version for MSI GT60? last time u said to not update cos memory option is still grayed in bios.. Thanks

  7. GT 683 series are sandy bridge based processors in which you can upgrade to a sandy bridge procy only. GPU of GT683 are MXM board based. so meaning you can upgrade to a higher version of GPU for your laptop. Please ask the guru's here if you want to see the compatible GPU's for your laptop

  8. Hello please tell me what to do if after flashing the laptop will not turn on?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

It means you bricked your laptop. Somewhere along the way you did not follow the step-by-step procedure or you updated the wrong bios... Please go to page one of this thread so you can see the procedure of revivng your laptop.

  9. Can I also make a request with a little volt modifications on my nvidia gtx670m (msi gt60) and see if this GPU performs on par with a gtx 670mx? I can send the rom fiile after 5 posts right? tnx

  10. Well, I don't know... Asus is a bit weird when it comes to mobile GPUs... for whatever reason they don't adhere to the MXM standard, probably because they want that the users have to buy new machines instead of being able to upgrade them.

I agree with you. No wonder in SG prices of asus have the best deals to offer. BTW i'm not a fan of asus anymore cos my asus g74sx together with my eepad transformer rested in peace after the one warranty..

  11. Will have it tomorrow!! Along with the GT70, 1762, etc. Also, I will have the RAID version and you can manually DISABLE RAID in the BIOS

That's good news.. But wait, I have a noob question though... You said that the GT modded bios (30M version for raid NB) can be used by a non-raid GT models? just go to bios and manually set it to "raid" before doing the bios update? Then revert back to AHCI before you boot to windows? Thanks

you can manually DISABLE RAID in the BIOS. There's no sense in unlocking the same BIOS twice when you can just disable RAID and potentially enable it down the road if you buy a second HDD...

Thanks for the infor sir. But what I am trying to say is that I have a non-raid gt60 version (.10M bios version) . Is this .30m raid modded version compatiblle with .10M? Can adjust in bios from AHCI to RAID before doing this modded bios update to .30M? Thanks alot
