  1. Ok, notebook has been fixed. :)

    Thanks again Suoah.

    Chip = 5euro + 10euro programming and swapping.

My congrats! I have been in the same situation but I had to create proper image for flashing to the chip.

What image was used for your laptop? Simple downloaded bios?

And did you try blind flash?

  2. thanks for the quick repy

this is the image of gpu-z

So you haven't flashed Prema's BIOS. GPU-z says that your video BIOS is not modded. You need to try again. All commands should be launched in Windows (I assume) from 1 to 3. I assume you already have the latest 514 BIOS.

EDIT: I am wrong about GPU-z bios. Perhaps you already flashed right. But anyway try it again to make sure.

  3. is there a way to get past +135 limit on core clock? -msi ge 60 0nd, gtx660m. i used the bios mod for win8 (thanks prema!) using msi after burner i could reach (turbo boost) +135 on core clock and +600 on memory clock (no artifacts and temp does not go beyond 76C - using deepcool multicore x6 cooling pad). In Nvidia inspector, the unlock min and unlock max is greyed out. thanks.

Please post a GPU-z screenshot. And NvidiaInspector screenshot too.

  4. I have an msi gt60-one model nb and I dont know if this is the right thread though.. I would like to ask guru Prema regarding bios mods

    @Prema

... Is it possible to add gpu id of nvidia gtx 7XXm in bios so that it would be PNP when I want to upgrade my mxm gpu in the near future? Some people successfully installed an nvidia gtx780m with this model and manually changed some settings (thru bios and drivers?) If its possible can you mod a bios for MSI-GT60-one model? Many thanks

GT series do not have gpu ids because MXM cards have its own video bios. Very good if you find gpu with msi vidwobios but i do not know if you will be able to boot with anotuer one.

  5. I used NvidiaInspector and I suggest to use it.

AS about temperature... In games it is VERY rare that I7 will be used at 100%. So you should monitor them while playing with GPU-z for example and the checking MAX temp.

Just clean the fan and blow the grill, put thermal paste like MX-4 and all should be fine.

  6. Can someone give me a hand how i can do a backup bios? or only just download the original one from msi and them flash the modded one?, regards!

    Download latest afuwin and save.

However you will need hex editor to compile the proper backup.

MAYBE you tell why you need backup? Becaude nobody told you how cause nobody did that. For recovery with usb stick you need original bios file while backup is needed only for flashing bios chip by programmator if all fails.

  7. I trash my MSI GT683DXR bios!!!. I flashed with MSI GT683 Unlocked.zip, and work fine, hantil i mess arround with memori clock, and know black screem, no boot , i can not make on this laptop an blind-flash.Or the keyboard don't work, or the combinations of keys dont work on this laptop from MSI.I don't have an external keyboard USB to try, i have warranty and them i don't opem de laptop to remove de batery for a litlle for an reset to CMOS.

Can any help me? If i send to repar the technicians well soon note that i trashthe bios, and lose warranty and don't repar de laptop:too_sad:.

If some one have some solution please send an e-mail to: nambara AT hotmail DAWT com.

I would send it for warranty service and that's it.

And then would NEVER use moded bios.

What settings did you set for memory?

  8. Could anyone aid me in flashing these bios files? I know how to install the msi official upgrades easily but I just can't seem to get a rufus dos formatted drive to boot into DOS mode to flash these OC revisions. What is the step by step by those of you who have successfully flashed these? Thank you.

We need to know your exct model and current BIOS version.

  9. @Username, do not OC Memory to 3000 especially if your temperature is 90C. 1st thing is that it gives as little as no difference when you OC it above 2500-2600MHz on our 650M-660M. And the 2-nd is that it has higher chance to die... and what profit?

Use notebook cooler like Notepal U3. I reach 90 only using 1180/2500

EDIT: WOW!!! You have very good overclock up to 1215Mhz and it is stable after 5 minutes in Furmark? If you have FullHD maybe you try 1080p to test?

Could you post your ASIC quality of your GPU? Use GPU-z for this.

P.S. I used 2GB SD card in old USB card reader for flashing BIOS. I did it before and doing now. It never felt me. I believe there is no difference in what you are using.

Looks like 660M has better chips.

  10. It's been a long time I checked this but didn't write. I dumped my ME and found that according to this guide (TNX khenglish) my ME lets me to change FSB. BUT I still can't.

If you want I can upload my dump.

Also, If anyone knows why would we need drivers for ME Interface? What doest it give?

Here is pure driver for manual update through Device manager. It was in that archive in the first post but I decided to tell if someone don't know.

    Intel ME 8.1.10.1275 July 2012.zip

  11. A4Tech G6 PowerSaver. 800dpi.

It is very comfortable and was the best for its price. Oftenly I miss higher dpi, at least 1000 because while playing it is hard to do a headshot. However it works on all kinds of surfaces and batteries are working for a long time.

Will buy a G10. Was planning it since the middle of the previous year:)

  12. why i doesn't get an answer???

IF I DON'T RESPOND TO A PM OR REPLY IN A THREAD, IT DOESN'T MEAN I'M IGNORING YOU; IT MEANS I'M CURRENTLY BUSY AND WILL RESPOND WHEN I'M NOT.

    What you don't understand?

I am not responsible for any damage you can make flashing this mod. All unhide settings are in the Main menu at the bottom. Chosen settings are sorted out in Advanced Menu and other.

    DepositFiles

Powerdrain and set settings to default before flashing BIOS. After flashing press ctrl+alt+delete and wait when it boots. It will turn off, then turn on for a second, then turn off again (no worries) and then it should turn on again. If not then start worry, so you better have 1 additional FAT flash drive with AMIBOOT.ROM file on it or second laptop just in case.

Before flashing post here that you will so nobody would think that you bricked laptop while you just haven't even started by that time.

    Repeat, no responsibility from me.

    Do NOT post it elsewhere.

  13. Sure. My deal was to offer.

BTW RAM settings are hied in the locked main menu so the only way to unlock them is to unlock the submenu with all those dangerous settings.

Good luck in unlocking W8 GPU vbios if you are still working on it and on overvolting if you find time. I will always be grateful for your mod.

  14. While helping myself with OCing unlocked CPU (I7 3720QM ES QBC1) I made super unlocked BIOS for everybody with this laptop (MSI GE70). It is made in smart way of unlocking. Usual users can see additional settings which they may need and they are less dangerous. I am not saying they are safe because some of them look suspicious to me anyway like UEFI Boot enable/disable which is strange to see on a non-Windows 8 BIOS.

But I also made available ALL unlocked settings at all in BIOS is 1 separate menu for extreme users who should know what they are doing and many of those settings are both unknown for usual users and dangerous.

Considering the fact I was doing it for myself I used Prema's bios as I didn't want to loose ability of dGPU OCing. Therefore I will not post it on other forums (even on NBR) with Prema's vBIOS unlock.

I assume it would be better for everybody to put it on T|I Forum, here in this post for example, instead of creating another Unlocked BIOS (for settings) without your vbios mod, am I right?
