  1. The blue screen suddenly appears at unexpected moments, even when I leave the laptop idle and also while browsing on the internet. EDIT: Problem fixed. It turned out that the graphics card became faulty. I purchased a new graphics card today, which is GTX 660, and there hasn't been any blue screen at all.
  2. Hi, it seems that I have got an annoying problem: I'm using DIY vidock without any problem for a long time, then suddenly I get blue screen, even when I'm browsing on the internet. Does anyone have the solution? I tried uninstall and reinstall graphics driver (even with clean installation), but the problem still exists.
  3. Can you recommend me a cpu that is more powerful than i3-390M?
  4. Hello, guys. I have a question: I am planning to upgrade my laptop's processor, which is i3-390M, to i5-580M. Will I see some significant differences?
  5. Wow, It's good to be back. I hope all of you are doing fine. I got busy with my university studying. Anyway, I got my PE4H back into the operation after 6 months of dust collecting, and I can't remember how to fix crashes when starting up a game or doing WEI (Windows Experience Index). Anyone reminds me how to fix it?
  6. I don't know if it is okay with you, but If I were in you shoes, I would buy PE4H, because it uses full 16x PCI bus, which means it fully utilize GPU's capabilities.
  7. I remember this issue a year ago. I think it's from the mini-HDMI cable itself. Try this cable: Gold Plated 1080P HDMI Mini V1.3 M-M Connection Cable - Black (1.5M-Length) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX I tried this cable and it seems that it solved many issues, but I wouldn't hesitate buying it yet. If there is no way to solve your problem, buy the cable.
  8. Maybe your power supply is not powerful enough to help detect the egpu.
  9. Your latop can do optimus with GTX580, download and install Geforce official driver, reboot and after you past bios, press F8 unitil you reach to advanced boot menu, then connect your egpu to your laptop, wait for few seconds, then select start windows normally. If that doesn't work, let me know.
  10. Could you please post your laptop's specs so that we may help you?
  11. I have upgraded my windows 7 to 64-bit system, installed nvidia driver, and guess what: it's working, no DSDT override, no TOLUD issue, 6GB of ram is collaborating with it perfectly.
  12. Too late kizwan, but thanks for replying anyway.
  13. Well, my lenovo has 6GB of ram, but it doesn't use the whole memory, which doesn't bother me so much. So That's why I use 32-bit windows to not to complicate myself with a procedure like DSDT override. That's my choice.
  14. Sorry for my ignorance, but I still don't know the difference between 64-bit and 32-bit other than ram. By using 32-bit, I don't have to DSDT override, right?
  15. The one that I'm buying does not have an dGPU, it only has Intel HD graphics, i3-core, and 4GB of RAM, Besides, I will not use 64-bit Windows 7. I'll simply use 32-bit due to its simplicity, in my opinion.
  16. Hey @Tech Inferno Fan, I was thinking of selling my dell laptop and using its sold money to buy this laptop: LIFEBOOK AH531 - Fujitsu Technology Solutions What do you think about it? Is it worth buying it?
  17. Hey @Tech Inferno Fan, Is it possible to do X2 setup for my GTX 550 TI? cause the gpu doesn't use its full capabilities.
  18. Dear Kanga,

I have replied your post, check it out. Say thanks to nando4, kizwan, and me after you make it work.

  19. @Kanga According to your specs, your laptop can do Optimus, which means you can run you gpu on both internal and external with better performance without disabling Intel HD graphics. First download the latest verde (mobile) driver from Nvidia website and follow the instructions on this page: DIY eGPU experiences - Page 123 Press the spoiler button and follow the instructions. Enjoy the optimus setup my friend.
  20. Hi @Tech Inferno Fan After a whole of struggling to make AMD Radeon GPU work, I have sold it and bought GTX 550 Ti, it worked without a hassle. I'll do benchmarking later.
  21. I'm back, bringing you some update about my work: 1- I tried DNA-AMD gfx driver version 12.6b.2 , but it didn't work. 2- I tried Xtreme-g Driver version 12.10, it didn't work either. My only solution: Need an easy instructions of how to mod legacy driver to include AMD of both iGPU and eGPU as a unified driver.
  22. Should I install it immediately, or should I modify it first?
  23. I'm clueless now, guys. I want to know how to mod my ati legacy driver to add both ati iGPU and amd hd 6790. Please give me procedures to do that.
