I have the Asus ROG G751JY, i am not at all happy with the performance of the Samsung XP941 (OEM) SSD that is install and want to get something with more performance, now there is conjecture as to whether these models support NVMe not just AHCI M2 SSD's, i have contacted both Asus and Samsung, and also with Samsung on how there magician software doesn't work with OEM SSD's, both have escalated matters Samsung was first to respond telling me that Asus if they haven't already could add NVMe into the BIOS and i would be all good, 1 other question i am yet to ask, i am looking at the 950 Pro (NVMe) SM951 (AHCI or NVMe models) or the SM961 (NVMe) to replace what i currently have, i believe the 1st to are an option, worst case if NVMe wasn't supported or never going to be then i can go with the SM951 in AHCI, but if not and NVMe is supported would this still be the highest spec M2 SSD i could support? Because i have a suspicion these are all GEN 2 PCI-E M2's and the SM961 is a GEN 3??? If that is the case would it still work and if so better performance vs the other 2? Because so far what i have been seeing price PER GB it is much better value (I am in Australia) so does anyone on here know anything about such things or have modded a bios for such things, still hoping Asus come through with an official release, 1 final question i didn't really know anything about VBIOS till tonight and would love to try 1 of these modded ones, i have attached my VBIOS file, it is the GTX980M 4gb but i am not sure whether it is GSYNC or not, i was guessing Geforce experience would tell me but worse luck i open that and it updates to some new version (3 something) and it will not accept my username or password and to top that off when i go the forgot password route i am not receiving any emails haha.
