cant find where to load the default setting in bios ... all i have is in the exit menu it said load optimal defaults (load setup default) is that what i need to run after installing the unlocked bios?

is there anyway the r2 bios could work with a r1 ....

i need to update my bios from A00 to A05 but my battery is death... i've download the .exe file from dell website and when i run it (insydeflash 3.93.00) it ask me for my battery and my ac adapter to be plug in.

i already try with the command prompt to "forceit" but the same msg came again.

i've try with the dos command in boot option with a boot cd and boot usb flash but it tell me that the programe cannot be run in dos.

is there is anyone able to help me?

i have the same problem and cant find the nv_disp.inf i only have nv_disp.cat i dont if i can convert it or...

where can i find the platform.ini file? ive download the bios from alienware website and the only file i got is a .exe
