aight. No do not use any gt series bios on an whitebook. Contact msi and they should send you the BIOS or search the net for them.

seems like a driver problem, have you tried reinstalling them?
-
clearing the cmos only sets your bios settingd to default, it doesn't restore your original bios. blind flashing is only for when your computer doesn't post.
you can find your original bios at msiwhitebook.com
-
no you need to make a bootable DOS usb pen drive or cd and run it.
-
Seems like your drivers are crashing, this normally happens due to too high clocks. But if it's not OCed try uninstalling the drivers and erase all Nvidia folders on your hdd and reinstall.
-
It did not work, ah well I've already taken it apart and waiting for my gear to arrive. Thanks everyone for all of your help.
-
Try ctrl+ins , FN + B, win + B. Those might work (mainly FN + .
Thnx dude, I'll try it when I get home. Been searching my arse off for key combos.
-
AHCI is prefered if supported, you'll have to enable ahci in windows and then in BIOS.

the gtx 675m would give you a nice performance increase compared to the 560m. the gtx 675m is almost the same card as 580m.
-
Isn't that a kepler card? AFAIK it doesn't support kepler.
-
I think the gtx 675m would be the best possible with unmodified/stock heatsink. I dony think anyone have had success with the kepler ones.
-
tried ctrl+fn+pgup and ctrl+shift+numpad 7 and ctrl+shift, I burned a dvd with the bios file named AMIBOOT.ROM but no success.
-
It's weird though, the dvd starts reading when I insert a disc.
-
Flashing to gt685 bios wont help you because it's the same bios as the gt683.
-
AFAIK -- the recovery methods don't always work because they rely on the bootblock not being corrupted. If your flash went through and rewrote the bootblock then this is typically the end result.
Yeah I fear the bootblock is f**ked up, I will never ever flash BIOS after a few beers again ;D
-
I bought a hot air station and lots of kapton tape so I will try this when i hve time
-
I ordered a new chip but I will try again, it seems like the boot block isnt messed up because when I insert a dvd it starts reading it. So I'm gonna pull out the RAM, ssd and hdd and keyboard to make it search for boot block fix which is the BIOS on a dvd.

I made a really sloppy mistake.. I modified a gt663r bios for a friend and accidently left it on my usb pendrive.
I had a batch file named flash.bat(for the modded gt663r one) and I put my bios file and afudos and my batch file which I always use (flassh.bat)for my system on the pen drive.
So I was thinking of selling my sýstem to buy a gt60 so I figured I reflash it to the unmoded BIOS when I accidently in DOS wrote flash instead of flaash.. Now my system wont boot, I've tried the backup routine posted by @Xonar but with no success..
The pendrive doesn't even light up.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated

It should be located under the toch panel. And yes they are replaceable but the ABGN cards are usually longer and won't fit so you'll need to find one that is the same size as the wifi card.
And most of them are 3 antenna cards so you will also need to install a 3rd antenna.
-
Tried flashing the vbios?
-
It should work with the heatsink for gtx 570m, I don't think the bios will be a problem, and the dell vbios should work fine. But you'll probably need modified nvidia drivers which you can find at LaptopVideo2Go: NVIDIA & Laptop News
If you don't have the heatsink for gtx 570m you probably have to file yours down with a dremel tool to fit.
Good luck!

Well there is a mPCI-e slot for the wifi adapter but I don't know what the speed is.
-
Same here, nothing happens.

Found on the Forum's such a method to unlock the BIOS 162:

This is just a reminder. Follow these EXACT steps to overclock this board.
1. Open BIOS → ADVANCED → Intel ICC
2. Set ICC Watchdog Timer to Enabled
3. Save settings and exit.
4. Restart.
5. Open BIOS → ADVANCED → Intel ICC
6. Set ICC Watchdog Timer to Disabled (DON'T RESTART)
7. Open BIOS → ADVANCED → Intel ICC → DIV2S
8. Set base frequency to desired setting. (10400 = 104 MHZ)
9. Change clock spread spectrum to 0 (This stops downlocking)
10. Apply settings permanently after restart. (DON'T RESTART, EXIT TAB)
11. Set ICC Watchdog Timer back to Enabled.
12. Save settings and restart. (Your 16F2 should turn off)
13. Turn OC'd 16F2 back on... <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" LatentStyleCount="156"> </w:LatentStyles> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Обычная таблица"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} </style> <![endif]-->
This method did NOT work, because the EC wont allow OS to boot so you'll need to reflash BIOS.
Is my Asus G73JW-A1 dying?!

how are the temps on the gpu? others have had artifacts, flickering and bsods on that model due to high temps. Some vga cards have also gone bad.
