I did all the setup and everything is running well till now, plug and play. Is there anyway i can check that my eGPU is using 1.2Opt? I'm doing some benchmark with 3dmark11 and will update soon. Thansk!

Hi guys, I just have a PE4L shipped from Taiwan, and start install the eGPU with these stuff: ATI 5570 & PSU ACBel 430W. After everything is set, I turn on my X220,boot into windows, and turn on the power for the eGPU, plug it into the x220. Windows 8 detect the new vga adapter correctly. After install the latest driver for the eGPU, look like it's working now, but the bandwidth is only PCIE [email protected]. Is there anyway that I can improve it ? Thanks alot.

You use the modded driver only when you need to use the interal LCD. You can take a look at this post: DIY eGPU experiences - Page 403

Thanks so much Tech Inferno Fan. My laptop is a x220 with i5-2410M so I think it's a Sandy Bridge system. I can understand the PE4L part but I don't really understand the TOLUD part. What should I do with my x220 when install a eGPU? Just let it changes TOLUD by itself or do I need to install/edit something? Can I use 8G RAM? Thank you!

HI guys, First of all, thanks for the great thread. I'm living in Vietnam, and it's very hard for me to reach the seller, so I only had one chance to order the adapter ( because it could cost me a lot). Could you guys please help me with the following information? I'm using a X220 and having a spare ATI 6770 + PSU 350W. So which version should I buy ? PE4L or PE4H? And do I need to install or make any changes of my laptop to make it run at the best as it could? Thanks a lot for your attention and help.
