I just added an EC slot to my gf's E6440 to try to get an external GTX960 to work for a Blender render performance boost. I haven't gotten it to work yet and was wondering if you could give me a hint on how to get it working. The eGPU adapter I'm using is an EXP GDC Beast V8.0 with Dell DA-2. GPU-z HD4600 TOLUD with 16GB ram BF200000 2.75GB? The GTX960 shows working in device manager when hotplugging - but doesn't ouptut anything to the attached screen.

I just got around to play a bit with my GTX960 attached to my e6430 as eGPU with an EXP GDC Beast v8.0. It is almost plug and play - fiddling with drivers a bit and the crash now and then. What I'm wondering - is a higher PCI Express link speed possible - I only get v1.1 (see GPU-z)? Also - the 5285 points is just double of the NVS 5200 - is that the most I can get out of the GTX960?
