  1. Hello there I have been using all the mods from the community (BIOS, vBIOS, light controller) which are great btw. Only sometime ago I have started to notice that my GPU (GTX680m) has been "shutting down" like if I leave it idle for too long it is like I have removed my gpu (not detected by the system, games or even nvidia control panel) and only restarting makes it active again. Sometimes after a full shutdown and turning on I get a BSOD the system restarts and boots normally, I think it is due to the gpu not being detected on the first boot. I haven't tried rolling back to stock everything yet. Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on? Could it be a hardware failure? Cheers

  3. Right... another thing on my to-do list. It's not that important if you ask me, currently you won't be able to go higher than 1.1V anyway, and I'm inclined to say that this is indeed the limit, even though I'll try some things.

I appreciate it svl7, and I don't mind if it is just a little, since all I want is a bit more something between 1 and 1.25 (this heats up my card past what I want under load), so I can oc my card a bit more as I am on the edge of what I want to be stable.

  4. Damn.. i´m feeling stupid here! :shame2: thanks for tip...

But i´m will wait until tomorrow to get the fixed version for P-EMs.

    tks!

NP man, also I have an EM and I am using the vl7 vbios and the Prema v2 bios no issues... I don't know of any fix needed as of now, can you clarify it to me. All that I know is an issue with ES processors... Cheers

  5. Does anyone know how to boot dos from a usb drive on Windows 8? Im trying to work it out..I used rufus and tried booting through the usb device but it keeps skipping it and going to Windows. I have a Clevo P170EM, I have the latest bios and vbios for gtx680m but I cant get into dos on bootup :(
  6. Well its re-labeling, re-doing, re-uploading 20 archives...could you please install the other version to confirm that the FN+9 is the one with Windows key on the right...I need to know if only that EC is wrong.

Sure I will do that right away...

Just to make sure I just need to do the same stepsI did with the first flashing? I mean I can flash it over your bios/ec or I need to flash back to the stock bios/ec before?

Also what is the x.bat file for?

    Cheers

  7. @naniasbr I must have marked my EC files wrong for the K2 keyboard Layout on P150EM...will fix it up soon...sorry for the confusion.

@d4vidc Yes that is normal. It should show a bunch of lines with step xx of xx complete lines while flashing the ME part...

EDIT: I may have mixed left and right Win versions, please try K1 version for Win-key on the right.

No problem I will wait for your revision, this is peanuts!! Being able to use XTU on my machine is awesome!!!! Cheers

  8. Just checked. The version marked K2 contains the proper files...strange...do you have to use FN+1 to blow fans on full or fn+9 now?

    I have to hit windows key + 1! I have just confirmed and I have downloaded the v2 k2 vers. I ran step1.bat and step2.bat... I didn't run x.bat tough...(BTW what is that file?)

My keyboard layout is the fn key on the left and win on the right (it is the Steel Series one)

    Cheers

  9. Use P570WM Prema Mod v2 (v1 has no 780M support)

Just follow the readme ;) :

HOW-TO: - Connect your Power Supply, boot from USB, type "step1" and hit "Enter".

    (The system will auto-reboot.)

    - Type "step2" hit "Enter" and follow on-screen instructions.

    - Be Happy & Enjoy :)

Will update the OP with all Mods soon, had no sleep tonight...I am crashing now. :06:

  10. Can someone link me to the page about reflashing the bios + vbios for the GTX680M? I have the files, unsure how to perform the upgrade. Also I am unsure how to check system bios...Any help? Yes I am a noob. Soz. Im running windows 8 if that helps...

    Cheers

Boot to win and go to change pc settings (charm bar), then general, advanced start up, select troubleshoot then change UEFI settings and restart. On the BIOS you can check your system bios and ec version. To check the vbios is simpler just run gpu-z on windows. Now for flashing there is a thread about it but resuming it you have to create a DOS USB drive copy the bios or vbios files plus the nvflash files (only if flashing video card). Repeat the process above and when on the BIOS go to boot select OS and instead of win 8 choose others and disable UEFI. Now restart and boot to the USB drive. I hope I am clear enough. Read and search on the forums so you are sure of what you are doing. Cheers

  11. It's an early svl7 bios based on a pre-release MSI bios. Now that you have 5 posts I recommend a newer bios.

The PSU is the slim. It's necessary to swap the connector on the PSU or motherboard. Motherboard would be neater, but I can't find where to get one so I changed the PSU connector.

I have just downloaded all of them, what is the dif between them?

I am looking for this psu mod also. Do you have some pics you could email me? also do you have the psu model number?

  12. Yes this bios has an increased voltage of 1.025V. Default is .987V.

This bios should perform better than the default. It won't downclock the card due to high power draw. You can also use your 680m on battery now, although unless you underclock it the system will shut down since the battery can only put out around 100W.

Thanks man. Do you know if this is one of the slv7 modded vbios? Which one? About the performance here are my Unigine Valley scores on extreme hd preset before and after the flash: OC'ed default bios 31.9 @ 75C ; default clocks flashed bios 31.1 @ 78C; oc'ed flashed bios 33.4fps @ 88C. Are those normal scores and temps or is it different from what ppl get?

And out of context is the psu you are using the slim vers one?how did you mod it?

    Cheers

  13. Hey guys those modded inf are HM only? Where can I find the EM vers? And what are the benefits over the standard drivers? They have any kind of incompatibility with modded vbios? Cheers
