  1. X7200 is a clevo model, a single PSU couldn't support an overclocked desktop CPU and SLI 485M so they had to use two PSUs in parallel.
  2. I will wait for the M18x-R2 (winning... like Charlie Sheen LOL)
  3. If I remember correctly last time I applied thermal paste was MX-4, haven't tried Shin-Etsu yet
  4. That's with stock paste everywhere? Cause if you managed to make the GPU clock that high with stock paste and thermal pads it's a miracle The M18x seems to have a 240W PSU so it won't be of any assistance...
  5. Oh yeah, it's very addictive, I really wish we had more options with the power supply, benches that require the combined power of GPU and CPU at the same time would be greatly benefited.
  6. If it wasn't for all those cheaters I would still be playing counter strike... I can't wait for Half Life 2 Ep3 and Mass Effect 3
  7. I am really tempted to be honest, I will have to wait though till the 16th of Mai so that in case something goes wrong I can afford to be without a laptop for a couple of days. I have to try cause otherwise it will bother me for ever...
  8. HAHAHAH, I guess if I go to baskin-robbins down the block and ask for dry ice they gonna look at me the same way
  9. Yeah that's because when increasing the BCLK you give an overall boost to your system (ie RAM) compared to the isolated CPU boost through either the multis or the TDP and some benches take advantage of that.
  10. With 3DMark11, the limitting factor for me was the PSU... it couldn't handle the extra CPU power so I had to lower the TDP to a point that I would let me finish the test. But I had no extra cooling, room temperatures unfortunatelly... DR650SE, do you use dry ice on your PSU as well?
  11. Yeah proper insulation will be a big challenge, the humidity and the vapors can shortcircuit the mobo
  12. Yeah there is definitely a boost, I am surprised though that the 320 series have lower random 4K compared to the X25-M G2.. even with the tweaks applied
  13. I think a price range between $550 - $650 for the 2920XM would be acceptable given that it is not limited by the BIOS of course so that ThrottleStop can do its magic, otherwise not worth it.
  14. Definitely interested to see this project! Keep the pics coming! Oh Strigae, welcome to the forum!
  15. wow 26 sec seconds faster, very nice! This must have required some heavy cooling...
  16. The memory bandwidth of this card is amazing...
  17. Put 2 of them in CFX and you can hit 26K+ on GPU,even with a single card, CPU is the bottleneck in this benchmark
  18. NICE!!! It seems that I will have to use an air condition if I want to pass your score
  19. Good question, what drivers are you using and what are your CCC settings?
  20. Never tried 0.1 intervals for the GPU, can't really tell you that. I don't see though why wouldn't it work with increments smaller than 0.5. About the CPU, if I remember correctly, the only way to make TurboBoost work this way is if I have no tweaks applied and no BIOS oc at all. Not sure though since the first I thing I do when I format my disk is to apply the tweaks and oc...
